I walked in carrying an Americano and placed a resignation letter in front of him.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He raised an eyebrow: \u201cJob hopping? What\u2019s the outside offer?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
I spoke calmly: \u201cI\u2019m not hopping. I\u2019m quitting to start my own business-a private equity fund. Initial fund size of a hundred million, I\u2019m putting in ten million, Rex will raise the other ninety.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

I\u2019d expected this move, so I pulled out the second document-\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cEmergency Shareholder Proposal: Motion to remove VP Dylan Morrison from all management positions at StarMed Medical and subsidiaries.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Grounds: Suspected related-party transactions and misappropriation of company assets.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
I signed my name in the proposer section.\u00a0<\/p>\n
His pupils contracted sharply as he finally realized I wasn\u2019t here to negotiate-I was declaring war.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The room erupted.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Dylan sat in the front row, expression unchanged, just gently spinning the diamond ring on his finger like twisting a dagger.\u00a0<\/p>\n
I shifted gears: \u201cFellow shareholders, this isn\u2019t about me personally-it\u2019s about StarMed\u2019s cash flow. That $48 million could have bought a new production line, could have saved three R&D projects, but instead certain individuals used it for \u2018brand consulting fees\u2019 to cash out and buy\u00a0<\/p>\n
