Sienna spoke with carefully measured concern woven into every word.

“Mrs. Turner, Miles came to the set again today. Honestly, it was for Melody. I didn’t want to bring it up. After all, a family’s affairs shouldn’t be aired in public. But… you saw it yourself at the birthday banquet. Clayton and Miles were both hovering around Melody nonstop.”

She let out a soft sigh, her voice growing softer. “My husband has been completely bewitched by her. He’s hardly ever around anymore. I don’t even know what kind of spell she cast on him. At this point, I really don’t know what to do with him.”

Sienna continued gently, “But it doesn’t seem like Melody’s ambitions stop there. She’s stringing Miles along as well, coaxing him into backing her for the film production.

“He even got into a heated argument with the director over her and insisted on rewriting the script. I really can’t bear to see Miles go down the same path as Clayton.”

After ending the call, a cold smile curved Sienna’s lips.

Beatrice hated mistresses more than anything.

When she was younger, her husband had lived a debauched life and kept countless starlets on the side.

Beatrice had personally caught him red–handed more times than she could count. She was very experienced in that department. Sometimes she even took a baseball bat for a full physical confrontation.

Each time, he would swear it was the last time.

And yet, the final time came when he overdosed on medication while in bed with his mistress and died on the spot.

Beatrice hadn’t shed a single tear. If anything, she felt relieved.

She no longer had to catch him in the act. There was no need for her to worry about illegitimate children threatening her or

Miles‘ status.

She would have never thought that she would still have to clean up after Miles in her later years.

Ten minutes later, Beatrice stormed into the dressing room just in time to see Miles carefully wiping Melody’s face with a

towel.

“Miles Turner!” The roar shook the entire set.

Everyone inside scattered instantly. They crowded outside the dressing room’s door to watch the spectacle unfold.

Sienna and Michelle stood right at the front. Michelle even sneakily grabbed a handful of sunflower seeds and started cracking them with delight.

Melody had already changed out of her costume and removed her makeup. Her face was deathly pale as she stood up and murmured softly, “Mrs. Turner…”

Miles was so startled he dropped the towel outright. “Mom? Why are you here?”

Beatrice strode forward and demanded sharply, “That’s exactly what I should be asking you. What are you doing here? Is this what you call work–running around flirting with some vixen? Do you have any shame?”

She pointed at the crowd outside the door. “And you’re doing this in broad daylight, in front of so many people, no less! You’ve brought shame to the Turner family! What respectable family’s daughter would ever marry you now?”

Miles forced himself to explain, “What do you mean ‘vixen‘? I’ve never even seen you wipe the dog at home.”

Her anger only intensified. “I also heard you fought with the director over her and demanded changes in the script. Miles, I’ve turned a blind eye when you fool around outside, but if you dare to bring a trashy little homewrecker like her into our family, I’ll break your legs myself!”

Hearing this, Miles instinctively glanced at the doorway.

Sienna was leaning against the doorframe, thoroughly enjoying the show. When she noticed his gaze, she even raised an eyebrow at him provocatively.

Miles looked away and clenched his teeth. “Mom, don’t listen to people spreading nonsense. She’s just a friend.”

Beatrice’s voice shot up an octave. “A friend? Your father said the same thing about his mistresses back then. Do you really think I’d believe that kind of garbage?

“Would people be talking if your behavior didn’t invite misunderstanding? And don’t think I’m blind! I saw everything with my own eyes the moment I walked in.”

She suddenly turned on Melody, her gaze as sharp as a blade. “You’re the vixen seducing my son, aren’t you? Is the son of the Hale family not enough for you? Do you want to ruin my son too? You’ve got quite the appetite.”

Melody’s eyes reddened instantly.
