She was five years younger than Sienna and also a sophomore majoring in music.

They didn’t share the same mother, and they had never gotten along since the day they were born. Over the years, the two sisters had quarreled more times than anyone could count.

Sienna didn’t bother to argue. Without lifting her gaze, she shot back, “Why should I waste my time comparing myself with a piece of trash? If you want to compete with Melody so badly, then go ahead!”

“Sure! Let me have Clayton then. I’ll deal with her myself,” Olive said as she plopped down next to her.

Sienna simply pointed in his direction. “Go ahead. Do whatever you want.”

“Well, you have to help set us up!” Olive tugged at her sleeve, acting all cute.

“Do I look like a matchmaker to you?” Sienna almost let out a sarcastic laugh in anger. “Even if I were to introduce him to someone, it wouldn’t be you either.”

She shot Olive a pointed look. In her icy, cold voice, she added, “Clayton likes those big-chested airheads. Haven’t you seen what Melody looks like? You’re better off playing with your Barbie dolls.”

“You!” Olive grew so livid her face turned red, looking like a kitten that just got its tail stepped on. “I turned 18 last year- I’m not a kid anymore!”

Sienna lifted her teacup and took a sip, and halfheartedly replied, “Oh, that’s really impressive.”

Her tone was perfunctory, like praising a child for earning a gold star.

Olive was utterly enraged by her attitude, and then her gaze snapped onto the wedding ring on Sienna’s hand. “Hey, lend me your ring and let me wear it for a bit. I’ll give it back later.”

Growing up together, she would always try to snatch everything that Sienna owned.

It often started with an excuse to borrow her stuff, but Olive never gave it back.

At first, it was toys and clothes. Eventually, it became jewelry and handbags.

Even when she grew tired and no longer liked those things, she would rather break them rather than return them.

Sienna had once gone to Wilfred to sort this out, but his response was always the same. “You’re the elder one. You should be more tolerant of your younger sister.”

And now, she was supposed to tolerate her own husband as well.

She found this absolutely absurd.

Sienna scoffed, lifted her hand, and waved it with her ring on it. “You want it? Not in a million years. Or maybe you could give me ten million dollars, and then I might consider it. How about that?”

“You’re asking for the moon! I’m just borrowing it for a few days-it’s not like you’ll lose out because of that!”

Olive suddenly stood up from her seat. The chair screeched across the floor and collided with a female server, Barbara Mueller, who was passing by with a tray of red wine.

Even though Barbara reacted quickly enough to keep the tray steady, a few drops of red wine still spilled, landing on Sienna’s white sleeve and blooming into several red stains.

Olive, completely unharmed, immediately lashed out. “Watch where you’re going! Do you not have eyes?”

Barbara was so frightened that her face turned pale, bowing and apologizing nonstop. “I’m so sorry, miss! You got up so

X CLOSE

Chapter 15

2/3

suddenly-”

“So now you’re blaming me?” Olive’s voice rose several notches.

Olive always had the tendency to make a big deal out of a minor inconvenience and take it out on the closest person she could find. Having seen this many times before, Sienna stood up and cut off her childish outburst.

“You were literally the one who shoved the chair into her. Stop being a brat. This isn’t your home. No one’s going to put up with you.”

“Why are you taking an outsider’s side?” Olive widened her eyes in disbelief.

Just then, the hotel manager, Orlando Kent, hurried over upon hearing the commotion. He politely asked, “Hello, may I ask what happened here?”

Barbara was a young-looking girl who looked as if she had just started her new job. She anxiously interlaced her fingers together with fear written all over her face.

Olive instantly pointed at Barbara, ready to put the full blame on her. “This little bitch-”

“It has nothing to do with this lady here!” Sienna sternly interrupted her, using one hand to cover Olive’s endlessly chattering mouth.

She turned to the manager and offered an apologetic, resigned smile. “I’m so sorry, my sister’s been missing a screw since she was little. She’s always loud and bratty because our parents failed to discipline her. It’s rather embarrassing.”

Right after that, she practically dragged the troublemaker out of the banquet hall by force.

Clayton hadn’t noticed the commotion at all. He was just casually chatting with Hayden.

Hayden suddenly nudged him with his elbow. “Hey, Sienna’s gone.”

Clayton glanced in her direction. He did notice Sienna sitting at the back with her annoying sister earlier.

He wasn’t expecting the two of them to disappear in the blink of an eye.

Hayden started making things up to mess with him. “She wouldn’t actually run off with some other man, would she?”

Clayton dismissed the remark. “Stop talking nonsense.”

Hayden lifted his eyebrows slightly, and the way he spoke made it sound all the more convincing. “Why would I lie to you? I think I saw her heading outside with someone else.”

Clayton was doubtful, but he still stood up.

It was then that Melody came back from tuning her cello, saw him leaving, and grabbed his sleeve. “Where are you going, Clay? My performance is about to start.”

“I’m going to the restroom. Be right back.” He pulled his arm back and strode off.

As he passed through the center of the banquet hall, he paused his steps.

His gaze unintentionally drifted to the sapphire necklace around the neck of another socialite, Victoria Murphy. It was glowing with a deep, luminous sheen under the lights-crystal clear, restrained in style yet extravagant.

He approached her and politely asked, “Mrs. Murphy, I don’t mean to intrude, but may I ask where you bought that necklace?

11

Victoria proudly touched her necklace. “Oh, Mr. Hale, you have such good taste! I picked this up at a luxury second-hand shop last month.

“The original price was ten million dollars! It’s from the ‘Tears of the Moonlight’ collection by the famous jewelry designer named Luna-top-tier craftsmanship and design.”

X CLOSE

Chapter 15

3/3

Lowering her voice, she then added, “I bought this for only two million dollars. I guess the previous owner must’ve needed cash urgently.”

His eyes slightly darkened, but his voice remained calm. “Do you mind if I take a closer look? I’m thinking of buying something like this for my wife.”

Victoria agreed without hesitation, took off her necklace, and handed it to Clayton.

He glanced at the two letters engraved near the clasp, and realization suddenly dawned on him.

He returned the necklace to her, turned around, and immediately called Rowan.

In the meantime, after tossing Olive out of the banquet hall, Sienna went to the restroom to clean the red wine stains off her sleeve. She wiped the fabric with a damp tissue. The stains faded a little, but a faint mark was still barely visible.

Staring at herself in the mirror, exhaustion suddenly kicked in, causing her to let out a sigh.

She walked out of the restroom, lowering her head to adjust her cuff. As she wasn’t paying attention to what was ahead, she bumped straight into a person.

“Sorry.”

She instinctively lifted her head, but instantly froze as soon as she saw the face of the person. The man leaned against the wall, wearing a roguish grin. “Long time no see, my ex-fiancee.”

Act Fast: Free Bonus Time is Running Out!

X

Claim

She got the divorce and bolted 15 Chapter 15 1/3 Chapter 15 That girl right there was Olive Winger, […]

[27

post-20089","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-she-got-the-divorce-and-bolted-novel
["GET
