Bethany froze at the mention of love. She hadn\u2019t expected Silas to be so cooperative, and gratitude welled up within her. It was rare for Sarah to have visitors. After studying Bethany, he gave an approving nod. She met his expectations for a future daughter\u2013in\u2013law. He said, \u201cYou must be Beth.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Diana flashed an awkward smile and gestured for him to take a seat at the head of the table. Bethany sat next to Silas. Jeremy continued, \u201cBeth, I don\u2019t have much prepared for you\u2013just some money. I\u2019ve arranged a house for you and Silas, and it\u2019ll be in your name. My late wife left this bank card for her future daughter\u2013in\u2013law. Also, here\u2019s a share transfer agreement. Bethany cast a worried glance at Silas, seemingly asking if the gifts were too much. Silas gave her a comforting look before turning to Jeremy. \u201cDad, isn\u2019t that too stingy of you?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Jeremy glared at him. \u201cI\u2019m stingy?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
