Hannah\u2019s eyes lit up the moment she saw Genevieve.\u00a0<\/p>\n
She walked straight over, looped her arm through Genevieve\u2019s, and leaned in close like they were inseparable. \u201cGen, you\u2019re finally here. That whole place reeks. It\u2019s giving me a headache.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
As she spoke, she flicked a pointed glance in Regina\u2019s direction.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Zachary looked at the two women, then connected it to the harsh line that Hannah had just delivered. He immediately grasped the situation.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Genevieve was the one behind it. She had put Hannah up to humiliating Regina on purpose.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He stepped in front of Regina like he was shielding her and snapped at Genevieve, \u201cGenevieve, if you want my attention, there are limits. You dragged an outsider in to bully Regina. Do you have any shame at all?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
He was convinced that everything Genevieve had done lately was just a ploy for his attention.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Genevieve looked at him with pure disdain. \u201cWant your attention? Zachary, you think far too highly of yourself. I don\u2019t have time for your nonsense anymore. Let\u2019s get a divorce.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
She actually dared to mention divorce?\u00a0<\/p>\n
Zachary stared at her like she\u2019d lost her mind. \u201cAre you insane?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
After all the plotting she\u2019d done to marry him, she actually wanted a divorce?\u00a0<\/p>\n
Beside him, Regina tugged lightly at his sleeve and spoke in a soft voice. \u201cGenevieve, please don\u2019t be angry. This is my fault. Zach and I are really just like siblings. And as a genius perfumer, my cooperation with Lambert Group is strictly business. It\u2019s not what you\u2019re imagining-\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Before she could even finish speaking, Hannah burst out laughing.\u00a0<\/p>\n
She looked Regina up and down. \u201cA genius perfumer? Don\u2019t flatter yourself. Do you really think you deserve that title?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Zachary couldn\u2019t stand to watch Regina get humiliated. He jumped to her defense immediately. \u201cHer perfumes are the best I\u2019ve ever smelled!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
The pride and affection in his voice were impossible to miss.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Genevieve said indifferently, \u201cThat only proves how shallow your taste is.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
That was enough to push Zachary over the edge. He looked at Genevieve like she was being deliberately unreasonable and pointed straight at her as he cursed, \u201cYou don\u2019t know anything! Why are you sticking your nose into this? Shut up!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
The second he implied that Genevieve knew nothing, Hannah\u2019s temper flared.\u00a0<\/p>\n
If Genevieve\u2019s identity weren\u2019t a secret, Hannah would\u2019ve already torn those two apart.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Seeing Hannah get choked off, a trace of smug satisfaction flickered in Regina\u2019s eyes.\u00a0<\/p>\n
She turned to Hannah, sounding wounded and righteous. \u201cMs. Brooks, I know you don\u2019t like me, but you can\u2019t slander my perfume like that. This fragrance was blended for me by Cen.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m very close with Cen. If she finds out you\u2019re trashing her perfume like this, she\u2019s going to be furious.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Hannah didn\u2019t get angrier when she heard that. Instead, it made her want to laugh.\u00a0<\/p>\n
She looked Regina up and down, as if trying to figure out how someone could be so shameless. \u201cSo, you\u2019re saying you know our boss?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Regina thought that she\u2019d scared Hannah. She lifted her chin higher, her voice full of arrogance.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cOf course. Cen said my sense of smell is the sharpest she\u2019s ever encountered. The perfume I\u2019m wearing today was a welcome gift from her. If you say it stinks, you\u2019re humiliating Cen.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Genevieve raised an eyebrow and met Hannah\u2019s eyes.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Genevieve wordlessly mouthed, \u201cI didn\u2019t.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Hannah mouthed back, \u201cShe\u2019s an idiot.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
After the exchange, Hannah smoothed her expression and said, \u201cStop being so shameless. Our boss doesn\u2019t let just anyone use her name.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Then, she stopped wasting her breath on them. She took Genevieve by the arm and turned away. \u201cGen, let\u2019s go. Don\u2019t get bitten by a mad dog.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cStop right there!\u201d Zachary shouted behind them. \u201cGenevieve, come back here! Are you still not embarrassed enough?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
