The old lady was relieved to hear that her great-granddaughter had not yet woken up.<\/p>\n

She laughed, \u201cI was worried that Beibei wouldn\u2019t see me when she woke up, so I kept urging Lao Ba to bring me back. Lao Ba even complained about me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Zhan Yue said, \u201cThat\u2019s right. Grandma only has eyes for your great-grandchildren now. We grandchildren have become an eyesore and have to step aside.\u201d<\/p>\n

He and the housekeeper tried to help the old lady into the house, but she didn\u2019t need their help.<\/p>\n

He followed behind his grandmother, walking slowly.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t even have time to get a drink of water. Beibei hasn\u2019t woken up yet. I\u2019ll just have a drink of water here with my older brother.\u201d<\/p>\n

The old lady did not respond.<\/p>\n

\u201cAh Yin and Tong Tong have both gone out?\u201d<\/p>\n

The butler replied, \u201cYoung Master went straight back to the company after dropping Bao Shao off at school this morning. Young Madam didn\u2019t leave until almost eight o\u2019clock.\u201d<\/p>\n

The old lady nodded.<\/p>\n

After entering the house, she did not sit down but went straight upstairs.<\/p>\n

Beibei usually sleeps with her parents. The old lady has a strong sense of boundaries. Even though it is her own grandson whom she raised herself, she will never step into her grandson\u2019s room without his permission after he gets married.<\/p>\n

She went upstairs and stood at the door.<\/p>\n

The door was ajar.<\/p>\n

Serenity worried that if her daughter woke up and cried, no one would be able to hear her.<\/p>\n

Moreover, the little one is too small to open the door by himself.<\/p>\n

Before she left, she left the door slightly ajar so that Beibei could open it and go downstairs by herself after waking up.<\/p>\n
