Lucy scoffed coldly and smoothed her hair down. \u201cI only used a third of my actual strength because she\u2019s injured. If I\u2019d used my usual strength, I could have knocked her out with one slap.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Xyla scoffed, too. \u201cYour horse must be on stilts, because that is a high horse you\u2019re on. Once my leg heals, I\u2019ll give you a taste of my actual strength!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cTo be honest,\u201d Lucy said, glancing at Scarlet\u2019s slim arms, \u201ceven though Xyla\u2019s crippled right now, she\u2019s worth three of you when it comes to fighting.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cThe pen is mightier than the sword,\u201d Scarlet said stubbornly. \u201cI just don\u2019t like violence. It doesn\u2019t mean I can\u2019t beat you.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Before Lucy could reply, Xyla started snickering. \u201cYou? Against her? She just needs to sit on you to win.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Scarlet and Lucy fell silent. Xyla had managed to insult both of them at the same time.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Scarlet patted Lucy on the shoulder. \u201cIt\u2019s time to go.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cAre you guys leaving already?\u201d Xyla pouted, acting pitiful. \u201cIf you guys leave, who\u2019s going to play with a cripple like me?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Scarlet picked up her coat and turned back to Xyla. \u201cYou should be going back to the hospital. Send me a picture once you\u2019re back in your ward. If I don\u2019t receive your picture by 10:00 pm, I\u2019m going to talk to the nurse in charge.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cPetty jerk,\u201d Scarlet thought to herself.\u00a0<\/p>\n
She couldn\u2019t be bothered to answer him. She simply told Lester Lucy\u2019s address.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Lucy kept feeling around the passenger seat and asked him, \u201cSir, do you like driving a Bentley?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cSorry?\u201d Lester never thought that quiet, introverted Scarlet would have such an extroverted best friend. \u201cIt\u2019s a good car.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Lucy grinned sneakily. \u201cLet me give it a go one day.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Lester glanced at William\u2019s expression in the rearview mirror. Awkwardly, he replied, \u201cUm, Ms. Rosen, this is Mr. Cooper\u2019s\u00a0<\/p>\n
