Zachary sent him a message, but he didn’t respond and ignored his calls. He seems to believe that we pity him just by looking at him.”

Mrs. Stone let out another sigh.

Elisa and Remy entered hand in hand, prompting Mrs. Stone to glance over, causing Remy to release his grip.

Since Mrs. Stone had yet to accept Remy, Elisa and Remy needed to maintain some distance in her presence.

After Elisa invited Remy to sit down, she took the bouquet and walked away to place it in a large vase. She also decided to take the jewelry set that Remy had gifted her back to her room first.

Upon returning downstairs, she noticed everyone chatting happily.

The main reason was that with Sonny around, her mother was hesitant to scold him, fearing she might spoil him.

Serenity and Sonny had spent a considerable amount of time at the Stone’s house, and after dinner, Serenity took her nephew and left.

Zachary had a social engagement that evening, so he messaged Serenity to inform her that he wouldn’t be home until around 11 or 12, urging her to go to bed early and not wait for him.

Serenity took Sonny to the park to play and then went shopping before returning to their mountain villa around 9 PM.

Sonny, still a child, was exhausted after a long day of play. After a bath, he climbed into bed and quickly fell asleep.

Serenity waited for him to drift off before heading into the study to tend to her tasks.

Even though Zachary had said she didn’t need to wait for him, she couldn’t help but want to.

hand to shake Zachary’s.

Serenity would miss Zachary and worry about him, but he was still at the Wiltspoon Hotel for now. Zachary had brought his secretary along, accompanied by bodyguards, as he personally met with Mr. Dawson and his daughter, Miss Dawson, in the hotel.

“Mr. York, there’s no need to rush. Let’s go back first and have dinner together tomorrow when we’re free,” Mr. Dawson suggested. He owned a villa in Wiltspoon and stayed there during business trips, rather than in a hotel.

The Dawson Group had been quite successful, and they were currently involved in a particularly sought-after project that many companies, including the York Corporation, were eager to secure. Zachary could tell how optimistic the York Corporation was about Mr. Dawson.

Miss Dawson, dressed in a professional suit, exuded both capability and charm. As her father spoke to Zachary, her gaze remained fixed on him. Typically, Zachary refrained from discussing business with young women, but since Ms. Dawson was there as her father’s secretary and he was present, Zachary accepted her presence.

Although Zachary felt discomfort from Ms. Dawson’s constant stare, he kept his expression neutral. From their initial meeting, her eyes seemed glued to him.

Didn’t everyone know that Zachary was married?

“Alright, let’s plan for dinner tomorrow when I’m available, Mr. Dawson,” Zachary replied politely to the affable Mr. Dawson.

The two were almost in sync in their conversation. Mr. Dawson extended his right hand to shake Zachary’s once more. After her father finished the handshake, Miss Dawson also reached out to shake Zachary’s hand.

Zachary extended his right hand in front of him. Out of courtesy, he shook Ms. Dawson’s hand in a symbolic gesture. To his surprise, as he pulled his hand back, Ms. Dawson lightly traced his palm with her fingers. Zachary’s expression turned somber. “Analia,” he said. Although Mr. Dawson did not witness his daughter touching Zachary’s palm, he noticed Zachary’s change in demeanor and inferred what had transpired. He called his daughter to him with a serious tone.

   Ultimately, half of the conversation remained unspoken. “Is Duncan still reluctant to meet anyone?” Mrs. Stone inquired, […]

[20

post-14021","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-married-at-first-sight
["GET
