Regardless of my relationship with Hank, he is Sonny’s father, and that fact cannot be changed.”

Chelsea responded, “No, no, I misspoke. I believe Sonny can only be truly happy if he grows up in a healthy family. I think he is very happy now; he always seems cheerful. Previously, his father was busy working every day and involved with other women, so he didn’t spend much time with Sonny. Now, he visits occasionally—what’s the difference from before?”

Liberty said, “Sonny has already adjusted to life without his father’s presence. With Serenity and me by his side, he is carefree, happy, and growing up healthily.”

Chelsea was left speechless, realizing that discussing Sonny was pointless.

Their family had never given up on Hank, and they had voiced their concerns countless times in front of Liberty, but nothing changed.

For Hank, there was regret, but he knew Liberty well enough to understand that even if he turned and pursued her again, he wouldn’t gain anything.

Liberty addressed Chelsea: “If you truly care for Hank, stop interfering in your family’s matters. Refrain from speaking negatively about your sister-in-law to your parents, and stop nitpicking. Otherwise, changing sister-in-laws won’t improve anything.”

“I don’t know your perspective, but you have only one younger brother, and your parents are aging. When they reach a hundred, who will take care of them when you visit your in-laws? It will be your brother, right? And with the way you’re acting towards your sister-in-law now, are you planning to cut ties with your family once your parents are gone?”

When you have a…

Sister-in-law, it’s best not to meddle in your brother’s marriage. Please refrain from speaking excessively or joining forces with your parents to target your sister-in-law, which could lead to your brother’s divorce. Is that what you want? How many more times do you want your brother to go through a divorce?

You have a son and a daughter of your own; your daughter is in her teens and will likely marry in ten or eight years. When that time comes, if she frequently returns to her mother’s house to stir up trouble and create distance between her younger brother and sister-in-law, what will you think?

Chelsea: “Liberty, are you defending Jessica? She is so malicious. She almost took my little treasure away! I despise her and swear I don’t want her to have a better life.”

“I’m not defending Jessica; I’m highlighting the real issue. The reason Hank and I nearly divorced is partly due to your actions. What happened to Jessica is a result of the choices she made. You reap what you sow, and you cannot blame others for it.”

Chelsea flushed and fell silent. After a long pause, she said, “Liberty, I went out to buy something and then returned to the hospital. I asked my mother to pick something up and left the hospital. Who is there to care for that toxic woman now? Besides my mother and me, who else cares about her?”

Once Chelsea finished speaking, she rushed off without waiting for Liberty to respond.

After watching his aunt leave, Sonny approached Liberty and asked, “Mom, what was Auntie doing here?”

Liberty replied, “Auntie didn’t do anything; she just came to see you.”

Sonny snorted, trusting his mother’s words. After all, his aunt treated him much better and didn’t bring brother Lucas around to take his things. Jessica had a miscarriage, and it was estimated…

She anticipated that the law would punish her again soon. In light of this, Liberty felt no sympathy for Jessica.

Just moments ago, she had tried to persuade Chelsea, unsure if her words would resonate. From what Liberty knew of Chelsea, it was unlikely that she would consider divorcing Jessica.

Jessica had initially chosen Hank, a married man, and her journey had led her to this point. She was estranged from her family, who blamed her for her situation, including her parents and brothers, along with their partners.

Life with her in-laws had become unbearable; she had squandered a promising future.

Despite all this, Jessica was still capable at work, young, and beautiful. Had she made better choices—avoiding entanglements in other people’s marriages, not becoming a mistress, and instead choosing to marry a single man—her life would likely be very different.

Ultimately, Jessica’s desire to settle down in the city stemmed from Hank’s status. Although she initially had no relationship with him, things changed when he and Liberty had a serious argument.

Chelsea smiled awkwardly, glanced at Sonny twice, and said, “Sonny must have a father.” Liberty replied, “Doesn’t Sonny currently have […]

[20

post-13992","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-married-at-first-sight
["GET
