It’s a slap in the face to think that Liberty is the one without cleavage; it’s clearly you, Jessica.”

Chelsea continued, “Mr. Lewis had a car accident—what’s the deal with Liberty? She didn’t want him, and he went looking for her. His mother chased him away; that’s the truth. The car accident was just a coincidence, and the media is spreading lies, dragging Liberty into this for attention. They are utterly unscrupulous.” Chelsea scolded Jessica without pausing for breath.

Jessica didn’t even have a chance to respond or defend herself.

Chelsea’s voice was loud enough for residents downstairs to hear her berating Jessica.

However, the people in the community had long viewed the Brown family as a source of amusement, often gossiping about them during meals.

After all, Liberty had once brought people to vandalize their home, which caused quite a stir in the neighborhood.

Everyone knew about the divorce between Hank and Liberty, and how the mistress had become a regular topic of discussion. They were aware of her difficult relationship with her husband’s family and that she had even broken the law—if she weren’t pregnant, she would likely still be in jail.

After meals, Jessica frequently strolled through the community, often receiving strange looks. No one wanted to associate with her. Parents would quickly pull their children away at the sight of Jessica, explaining that she was like a human trafficker and that they should avoid her at all costs.

“Ever since you interfered in Hank and Liberty’s marriage, Hank’s life has been a mess. It’s all your fault. You’re a b!tch, and you should be ashamed to admit it.”

“Liberty. What right do you have to speak of Liberty? You have harmed Liberty. Are Liberty and Sonny not miserable enough?”

“Have you apologized to Liberty and Sonny yet? But don’t get too comfortable; when the girl in your womb is born, you’ll have to continue to endure. If you re-enter, I will introduce a woman to Hank, encourage him to divorce you, and ensure your daughter lives under the care of a stepmother!”

Chelsea harbored a deep resentment towards Jessica. Her precious child was nearly lost because of Jessica. If Serenity hadn’t sent bodyguards to rescue her child, Chelsea could hardly bear to think of the consequences.

Since discovering that Jessica had schemed against her, Chelsea vowed to make Jessica pay. Jessica’s face turned pale as Chelsea berated her. “Anyone who claims I’m having a son instead of a daughter has never met me. I am having a son, and that is exactly what I wanted!”

Jessica’s greatest desire was to have a son. This way, she could compare him to Sonny. She also understood that after giving birth, she would have to be confined, while her husband’s family would take care of the child. The child she raised would undoubtedly be favored by them. As long as hers was a son, she believed her in-laws’ affections would tilt in her son’s favor.

Her husband’s family had never cared for Sonny and felt little affection for him. They only paid attention to Sonny because he was the sole grandson of the Brown family.

Chelsea remarked, “You are so malicious in your desire for a son. You only have the role of a girl.”

Jessica retorted, “Do you think it’s impressive to have two kids? You can raise your two children and let’s see how it goes. Just because you raise them doesn’t mean they truly belong to you.”

“There will be accidents and illnesses, and you will lose your son in your later years.”

Before Jessica could finish her curse, Chelsea slapped her.

Chelsea delivered a hard slap, causing Jessica to feel a surge of anger at being cursed. She was caught off guard and felt a sharp sting on the side of her face where she was struck.

“Chelsea,” Mrs. Brown pretended to intervene, saying, “Jessica has been unstable since her pregnancy. Why are you engaging with her?”

“Mom, she cursed my two kids because of an accident. Aren’t you angry?” Chelsea replied angrily. “What did our Brown family do to deserve marrying such a toxic woman?”

Jessica retorted, “You’re the toxic one, a top-quality toxic woman! You curse me for not having a son, while I refuse to curse you or anyone else.”

As Chelsea prepared to retaliate, Jessica strategically hugged her stomach and exclaimed, “Mom, my stomach hurts, it really hurts, I’m upset because of her.”

Chelsea pointed at Jessica and scolded, “You would have been gone a long time ago if you weren’t carrying the […]

[20

post-13988","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-married-at-first-sight
["GET
