Since she needed to accompany her husband to the charity gala that evening, it was inconvenient for her to bring Sonny along.<\/div>\n

The sight of a line of tall, intimidating bodyguards would deter students from entering the bookstore, as they might assume the guards were gangsters. Previously, when Zachary stood with a serious expression in the store, the students had hurried away in fear. <\/p>\n

The bodyguards chosen by Josh for Jasmine were both sturdy and fearsome in appearance, all dressed in black, which only added to their intimidating presence. <\/p>\n

\u201cMissus, we\u2019re not afraid of the heat. We can just sit at the entrance of the store,\u201d one of the bodyguards said, speaking on behalf of the group. <\/p>\n

After a brief silence, Jasmine asked, \u201cDon\u2019t you feel the heat? It\u2019s over ninety degrees during the day. Don\u2019t you want some ice cream on a day like this?\u201d <\/p>\n

Jasmine called out to one of the bodyguards. <\/p>\n

\u201cYes, Missus?\u201d Boris replied politely. <\/p>\n

\u201cWait a moment; I\u2019m going into the store to get something,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n

She turned back and entered the store, pulled two hundred dollars from her purse, and walked back outside. When she handed the cash to Boris, he looked at her in confusion. <\/p>\n

\u201cLet me treat you to some ice cream,\u201d she offered.<\/p>\n

On such a hot day, take this money and buy some ice cream from Perry\u2019s shop, which offers a variety of flavors.
