Elisa greeted Zachary and Andrew.<\/div>\n
When Zachary heard Elisa\u2019s greeting, his lips twitched.<\/div>\n
Since Serenity was one year younger than Elisa, she was Elisa\u2019s younger cousin.<\/div>\n
\u201cMs. Stone.\u201d<\/div>\n
Andrew acted normally.<\/div>\n
Elisa and Andrew exchanged glances, both thinking, \u2018What a coincidence!\u2019<\/div>\n
They approached each other spontaneously.<\/div>\n
\u201cDidn\u2019t Remy come with you, Ms. Stone?\u201d Andrew asked Elisa with a smile.<\/div>\n
Elisa replied, \u201cHe has something to attend to, so I told him to continue with his work. He\u2019ll be returning to Annenburg in a few days since his eldest sister-in-law is about to give birth.\u201d<\/div>\n
Andrew nodded in acknowledgment.<\/div>\n
Serenity added, \u201cHasn\u2019t Jane\u2019s estimated due date arrived yet? It\u2019s coming up soon.\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s what Remy mentioned. I\u2019m not certain either,\u201d Elisa said.<\/div>\n
\u201cBut Jane is having twins. I\u2019ve heard that twins are often delivered early.\u201d<\/div>\n
Serenity admired Jane, who was nearing her delivery date.<\/div>\n
Indeed, Jane had it all. Both Jane and Serenity were the eldest daughters in their families, and many believed Serenity also had everything she could want.<\/div>\n
However, Serenity felt she paled in comparison to Jane. To this day, she was still not pregnant.<\/div>\n
Even Jasmine, who married after Serenity, had become pregnant, while Serenity remained childless.<\/div>\n
Fortunately, Serenity\u2019s husband and mother-in-law were kind and did not pressure her. Yet, whenever she had free time or heard of someone expecting a baby, she felt a wave of sadness wash over her.<\/div>\n

Jane had several godmothers. Her friends were all eager to become godmothers to her babies. The eldest Miss Ormond was definitely one of them; she wanted to take on the role despite being due to give birth soon. <\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s buy a few more sets of new clothes. I can ask Nana later about what I should prepare for the sip-and-see shower,\u201d she suggested. <\/p>\n

Zachary gently interjected, \u201cJane hasn\u2019t even given birth yet. It\u2019s too early to discuss the sip-and-see shower. You don\u2019t need to worry; preparations won\u2019t take long.\u201d He was confident he could handle everything with ease. <\/p>\n

\u201cI want to be the babies\u2019 godmother too, but I\u2019m not very close to Jane,\u201d Elisa chimed in. <\/p>\n

Serenity smiled at her and replied, \u201cYou don\u2019t have to be their godmother.\u201d Elisa could only aspire to be an aunt to Jane\u2019s babies. Suddenly realizing the implications, she understood that if she were to get together with Remy, she would indeed be the babies\u2019 aunt. A hint of shyness washed over her, and a blush crept onto her cheeks.<\/p>\n
