Grandma May shifted the topic and asked Liberty with concern.<\/div>\n
\u201cSeren invited our grandparents to stay and rented a unit for them on the same floor as the Browns. The Browns have to pass by my grandparents\u2019 place every time they leave, so with my grandparents around, my ex-in-laws rarely come near me these days.\u201d<\/div>\n
The old lady chuckled and remarked, \u201cThat\u2019s a clever idea. I don\u2019t have a good relationship with your grandparents, but you\u2019re still their granddaughter. They already have conflicts and grudges against the Browns, so they\u2019re naturally inclined to help you.\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cSeren gave my grandparents a fair share of the money from the rent my uncle pays. She also arranged for their housing and covered their food expenses, so it\u2019s only natural they\u2019d support me.\u201d<\/div>\n
Liberty often felt that her grandparents would not assist her unless it served their interests.<\/div>\n
After a moment of silence, Grandma May remarked, \u201cIt\u2019s worth doing them a small favor to resolve your issue. After all, they are your grandparents.\u201d<\/div>\n
Liberty grew quiet for a moment. After some contemplation, she said, \u201cSometimes I feel like I\u2019m a burden as a sister, always relying on Seren to make arrangements and sacrifice for me.\u201d<\/div>\n
Grandma May replied, \u201cYou can\u2019t think that way. After both your parents passed away, if Seren hadn\u2019t had you as her sister, she might have ended up in an orphanage. Just imagine the kind of life that would have been. You\u2019re not just her sister; you\u2019re like a mother to her.\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cSisters should support each other without excessive worry. Seren is incredibly grateful to you.\u201d<\/div>\n
She took Liberty\u2019s hand and gently patted the back of it.<\/div>\n

\u201cLiberty, you are a good person. Even though you may have felt lost at one point, you have found your way back. Trust that you will live a better life,\u201d Grandma May said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you, Grandma May. I will,\u201d Liberty replied.<\/p>\n

When Liberty first resigned from Lewis & Co. and considered starting her own business, she dreamed of becoming wealthy one day. She wanted to achieve this not just for herself, but also for her sister and her son.<\/p>\n

If she became rich and successful, she could support her sister. If Serenity ever faced bullying, Liberty would be there to speak up for her.<\/p>\n

Fortunately, the Yorks treated Serenity very well.<\/p>\n

However, Serenity and Zachary still experienced occasional conflicts. This made Liberty feel inadequate, as she couldn\u2019t be the support her sister needed. Serenity often hesitated to share her troubles, fearing that it would only worry Liberty.<\/p>\n

With a smile, Grandma May replied, \u201cWith so many people keeping Sonny company, you can relax. Rowan is great with kids, and Duncan is with them too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Knowing Duncan was there brought Liberty comfort; he would look out for Sonny no matter what.<\/p>\n

\u201cDuncan really cares for Sonny. I\u2019ve watched him grow up, and I rarely see him treat a child with such kindness. His fondness for Sonny definitely isn\u2019t because of you,\u201d Grandma May added.<\/p>\n

Liberty believed her grandmother\u2019s words. <\/p>\n

At the time Duncan began showing interest in Sonny, Liberty was still a plump woman weighing over two hundred pounds. It was unlikely he had feelings for her back then.<\/p>\n

However, Duncan had always been kind to her initially because of Zachary. Perhaps he developed feelings for her later on.<\/p>\n

Grandma May and Liberty visited the lotus pond to admire the flowers. While some had already bloomed, most were still in the budding stage. <\/p>\n

On the large lawn, Rowan taught Sonny how to fly a kite. Once the kite was airborne, Rowan handed the string to Sonny for him to hold. <\/p>\n

After that, Rowan took the opportunity to fly his own kite. <\/p>\n
