Consequently, Serenity had to visit Spring Blossoms numerous times.

“Liberty, I need to go to the bathroom too. Please wait for me.”

Camryn found her white cane and intended to join Liberty but received no reply.

“Liberty?”

“Liberty has already walked away,”

Callum’s low voice responded.

Camryn instinctively tightened her grip on her white cane but quickly regained her composure.

“Mr. Callum,”

she greeted him politely and added, “Excuse me.”

Callum reached out to grasp her wrist.

“Camryn!”

He called out in a low, hoarse voice. “How long will you keep avoiding me?”

Camryn withdrew her hand and replied calmly, “Mr. Callum, I’m not avoiding you; I’ve just been very busy lately.”

She had been preoccupied with disputes involving her two aunts and working to stabilize the morale of Newman Enterprise, leaving her little time to consider her relationship with Callum.

Her aunts were attempting to seize control of Newman Enterprise, believing that her blindness and lack of business acumen would lead to its failure under her management.

Although Camryn had two cousins employed at the enterprise, valued by her stepfather, their positions were still subordinate to Dalton’s. With Dalton’s support, Camryn currently held the upper hand.

“I go to your flower shop every day in search of you, but you’re never there. If he still knew she was with Dalton, it could only mean he was using his influence as the second son of the Yorks to keep tabs on her.

“I just care about you and want to know what you’re doing every day.”

“What can I do? My life is my own, and my choices are my personal matters. They have nothing to do with you. Mr. Callum, please excuse me.”

Camryn didn’t want to argue with Callum at Jasmine’s wedding. Suppressing her anger, she excused herself and walked past him.

Callum turned to watch her leave, then strode forward to catch up after a moment of silence.

Camryn quickened her pace upon hearing his footsteps.

Unfortunately, she was in an unfamiliar place and couldn’t see well; speeding up could lead to a fall.

“Be careful.”

Callum reached out and caught her just before she fell, preventing her from hitting the ground.

Camryn quickly pushed him away before she could regain her balance.

Callum felt slightly irritated. “Are you that afraid of me? I just caught you; I didn’t take advantage of you. Did you really have to push me away so quickly?”

Camryn stepped back, creating distance. As she regained her composure, Callum felt a mix of anger, frustration, and helplessness.

“Thank you, Mr. Callum.”

“Don’t call me that—just call me Callum!”

Camryn

She pursed her lips.
