I\u2019m being honest and I mean no sarcasm.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cMs. Harmon, let\u2019s find a place to have coffee and talk,\u201d Duncan suggested. <\/p>\n<p>Lily readily agreed. <\/p>\n<p>Ten minutes later, they arrived at a caf\u00e9. <\/p>\n<p>Duncan ordered an Americano, while Lily opted for a latte.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMs. Harmon, I\u2019m a straightforward person and I don\u2019t like to beat around the bush. I apologize in advance if what I\u2019m about to say hurts your pride,\u201d he began.<\/p>\n<p>Lily looked at him calmly and replied with a smile, \u201cYou can say whatever you want, Duncan. I\u2019m not a delicate flower that can\u2019t withstand the wind and rain.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019re a lovely lady, Ms. Harmon. My mom really likes you and is trying hard to bring us together. However, I don\u2019t have any romantic feelings for you. I believe my mom has shared my thoughts with you as well.
