He was increasingly disappointed with his decision.<\/div>\n<div>This was particularly true when his family constantly criticized and clashed with Jessica. It was frustrating, and he found himself second-guessing his choices.<\/div>\n<div>There was little difference between being a lover and being a wife.<\/div>\n<div>If he had treated Liberty better, encouraged her with a weight loss program, and given her time to prepare, perhaps his wife would not have been overshadowed by his lover\u2026<\/div>\n<div>\u201cWhy are you staring off into space, babe?\u201d<\/div>\n<div>Jessica nudged Hank, pulling his attention back to the present as he gazed at Liberty.<\/div>\n<div>\u201cI\u2019m fine.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>Hank lacked the courage to admit that he was lost in thoughts of the past, fearing Jessica\u2019s angry reaction.<\/div>\n<div>He valued his pride and wanted to avoid a public confrontation.<\/div>\n<div>Such an incident would only make Liberty view him as a complete fool.<\/div>\n<div>Hank leaned in and lifted his son out of the car.<\/div>\n<div>Once Liberty exited, he set Sonny down and took his hand. Hank informed Liberty, \u201cThis is the bridal shop.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>Liberty glanced at it without commenting.<\/div>\n<div>She recalled that same bridal shop where she and Hank had rented their wedding outfits.<\/div>\n<div>Jessica certainly reveled in competing with her at every turn.<\/div>\n<div>Liberty smirked inwardly, pondering how insecure Jessica must be to feel the need to compete.<\/div>\n<div>Jessica couldn\u2019t bear to see Hank and Liberty walking together, holding Sonny\u2019s hand as if they were one happy family. It bothered her that Hank and Liberty had once shared a life as a family.<\/div>\n<div>She quickly approached and stood next to Liberty, nudging her aside, and then affectionately linked her arm with Hank\u2019s.<\/div>\n<div>Liberty found it amusing.<\/div>\n<div>She was about to\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Liberty walked around, holding her son\u2019s other hand. Suddenly, a tall man dressed in black clothing and wearing a black mask appeared out of nowhere and bent down to snatch Sonny from Hank. Hank, too shocked to react, watched as the man ran off with Sonny. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cSonny!\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Liberty was the quickest to act, immediately chasing after the man. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cSonny!\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Hank snapped out of his daze, shook off Jessica\u2019s grip, and began to pursue the kidnapper. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cKidnap! Kidnap!\u201d Liberty shouted as she ran. <\/p>\n<p>Passersby on the street quickly gathered, responding to Liberty\u2019s cries, but instead of helping, they blocked her path, preventing her from reaching the man in black. It dawned on Liberty that these bystanders were accomplices of the kidnapper. <\/p>\n<p>Using her slightly plump build, she pushed past those in her way, determined to keep up with the kidnapper. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cMom! Mom\u2026\u201d Sonny cried out to Liberty. <\/p>\n<p>She sprinted with all her strength, fueled by her desire to save her son. Since she had taken up running to lose weight, her speed and stamina had improved. Although she was out of breath, she couldn\u2019t afford to stop; the thought of this being the last time she saw her son terrified her. <\/p>\n<p>The man in black raced ahead, trying to shake Liberty off his trail, taking winding alleyways in an attempt to lose her. However, he couldn\u2019t shake her off. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cMom!
