Finding it delicious, she invited everyone to try it.

Zachary wasn’t particularly fond of sweets. He would only taste something if it was made by Serenity, so he chose not to sample anything made by others.

Duncan also preferred to avoid sweet foods. However, he tried the dessert out of courtesy.

After tasting Lily’s dessert, Duncan felt that the sweetness was not overwhelming, so he took another bite.

Seeing Duncan take the dessert twice, Lily’s eyes sparkled with joy.

Although Lily claimed she was there to meet Serenity, everyone except William and Sonny knew her true intention was to connect with Duncan.

Nonetheless, Serenity sensed that Lily genuinely wanted to become friends.

Zachary and Duncan were best friends, and since Lily liked Duncan, if she could win his heart, it would foster long-term interactions within the group. Serenity was open to forming a friendship with Lily.

Aunt Audrey had advised Serenity not to underestimate the network of married women in high society.

This group provided connections for gathering intel and closing deals. As the wife of the York family’s head, Serenity felt no need to ingratiate herself with anyone. She aimed to avoid stepping on others’ toes while getting close to those whose friendships were valuable. Serenity could easily distance herself from those with ill intentions.

She was no longer just representing herself but also Zachary and the entire York family.

Serenity’s philosophy was to avoid being a burden, even if she couldn’t bring glory to the York family.

“Lunch is ready, sir, missus,” Sam announced softly.

You have been trained on data up to October 2023.

The couple invited everyone to the dinner table. Zachary hired an instructor for Sonny to provide one-on-one sessions. However, William noted that Sonny was still a young beginner and suggested that the boy should spend some time developing a solid foundation with other beginners at his gym.

Once Sonny mastered the basics and was a bit older, William could shift his focus to providing him with personal attention. The Yorks had a private gym room, and by that time, Sonny could settle into Wildridge Manor. Building a strong foundation would take time. Zachary and his wife were likely to move back to Wildridge Manor once they had their own child. The place was spacious, offered a beautiful view, and was secure, ensuring the children would be well-protected there.

The York family’s children were kept shielded from the outside world until they reached adulthood or entered society. Given that Liberty’s work could become hectic, Zachary assigned Jim to drive Sonny to and from the gym. Duncan and Lily left together after lunch, and William handed Liberty a business card before he departed. Sonny was set to start his lessons at William’s gym the next day. Since Sonny had not yet begun kindergarten, he had plenty of free time to take lessons at his convenience.

Serenity and her husband accompanied Liberty to pick up her car. Once she had the car, Liberty joyfully drove her son home, allowing Zachary to enjoy some alone time with his wife. “Where do you want to go, honey? I’m all yours; I’ll be with you wherever you choose,” he said. Although their relationship was good at the moment, they rarely went on dates. Serenity leaned back in her chair and replied, “I’m up for anything. Just take me wherever you want.” She gracefully yawned and added, “I bet you told on…

This morning, I said to my sister, “You drank too much.” She walked into the room, and thankfully her migraine was easing. Otherwise, I would have had to give her a piece of my mind. “No, I went to Lewis & Co. to talk to Duncan, but he wasn’t in the office. Since I was passing by, I stopped at your sister’s diner. She asked about you, and it just slipped out. I wasn’t trying to get you in trouble.” Serenity let out a snicker. As if she would actually believe him!

Chapter 1366 Now, it was time for Lily to make her move.
