Don’t think I’m unaware of what you’re considering. Mr. Queen is a wonderful person and a perfect match for you. You talk non-stop, while Mr. Queen is more reserved. You two won’t be bored together.”

“Nana, you’re also calling her Mr. Queen. When I look at her, it really feels like I’m seeing a man. She won’t even admit she’s a woman. You keep trying to set us up, but I feel like I’m searching for a brother instead of a wife. It’s almost like I’m gay.”

Grandma May chuckled. “She does a convincing job of playing a man, but those with experience can tell by her voice. Her intentionally deep voice differs from your natural baritone. Her voice remains crisp and bright, while yours is magnetic.”

“She may present herself as a man, but she knows she’s a woman. She just won’t acknowledge it. That will be obvious when she takes off her clothes.”

Kevin couldn’t help but ask, “Nana, am I really your grandson? If you’re upset with me, you can just hit me with your cane. If that doesn’t work, you can hit me a couple more times. You don’t need to put me through this.”

“I’d be in big trouble with Mr. Queen if I dared to remove her clothes. This is Jensburg, not Wiltspoon. Jensburg is the Queens’ territory!”

Kevin complained that his nana was setting him up, but his hands kept moving as he washed the cutlery. He brought over the meal he had packed, served it in a bowl, and attempted to feed her, but she declined.

It was not

The elderly woman was indeed injured, but she was capable of feeding herself and didn’t require her grandson’s assistance.

“I didn’t instruct you to forcibly undress her to verify her gender. Once you get to know her, you can invite her to the hot springs with you. Can’t you think of something so simple?”

Kevin was at a loss for words.

“Nana loves you the most. Didn’t you notice that I’m allowing Callum to dig his own grave without interference? I’m stepping in for you specifically. How can you claim that I’m not treating you like my grandson?”

Kevin muttered, “I wish you would direct that kind of affection towards Callum instead.”

While Callum’s potential wife was visually impaired, at least she didn’t present herself like a man, as Hayden did. Ms. Newman must be intelligent to have been chosen by his grandmother.

“I’ve entrusted Callum to Zack and Seren, so I don’t need to worry about him. I only need to…”

Kevin couldn’t help but ask, “Can’t you allow us to fall in love at our own pace?”

“I am. I’m simply giving you a goal and a one-year time frame. If you can’t become husband and wife within that year, I’ll step back.”

Kevin muttered, “We’re supposed to be favored and exceptional, yet in your eyes, we are unmarketable products that can’t be sold. None of us are that old; we’re all under thirty-five. Look at Duncan—he’s thirty-six and still unmarried.”

Kevin had planned to tackle his marriage by the time he reached thirty to thirty-five. Men like him, who had demanding jobs and successful careers, typically married later rather than sooner. For instance, Zachary was suddenly pressured to marry by Grandma May once he turned thirty.

At that time, Kevin was grateful that Zachary was the eldest, as only the firstborn faced such pressure, leaving the younger siblings free from that burden.

He experienced it, but he overlooked the fact that once Zachary was no longer there to act as a shield, none of the other brothers would be able to escape. Only the youngest two or three could get away with it. It would be another decade before the youngest one could marry, and by then, their grandmother would likely lack the energy to torment them.

Grandma May remarked, “Duncan already has a target, and his grandmother has passed away. If she were still alive, I assure you she would have thrown a fit and used every means possible to compel Duncan to marry and have children.”

Kevin still recalled the late Old Mrs. Lewis, a woman who was even more challenging to deal with than his own grandmother. In comparison, yes, his nana was seen as much easier to handle.

Chapter 1314 “Kevin, find a reason to invite her to dinner at one of our hotels.” Kevin hesitated. “Nana… What […]

[20

post-13391","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-married-at-first-sight
["GET
