You’re not shy when it comes to socializing; in fact, you carry yourself with elegance. The former you simply preferred not to draw attention.”

Mrs. Stone had a clear understanding of her nieces’ history.

Serenity replied with a smile, “Mrs. Lowe would take Jasmine and me to parties, but we were primarily there for the food.”

Jasmine would always convince Serenity to join her. The two would arrive and find a corner seat to enjoy the feast with delight.

For food enthusiasts, it was all about the cuisine.

Once their stomachs were full, they would admire the beautiful guests at the party while chatting amongst themselves.

This is why no one recognized Serenity and Jasmine’s names despite their attendance at several social gatherings.

Jasmine gained some notoriety when she lay down on the ground during Mrs. Dawson’s birthday celebration.

“Liberty.”

Mrs. Stone felt at ease regarding her younger niece. Serenity was fortunate to have wonderful in-laws.

Liberty was dozing off with her son in her arms.

Sonny was already asleep.

With her son held close, she could barely keep her eyes open and was on the verge of drifting off.

The sudden call from her aunt jolted her back from her dreams. Liberty turned to her aunt. “What is it, Aunt Audrey?”

“You look tired, Liberty. Take Sonny with you and rest in the guestroom. Your morning responsibilities can be exhausting since you have to wake up so early.”

Noticing that Liberty could hardly stay awake, Mrs. Stone decided to postpone their conversation for another day.

“It is tiring, but it’s a good kind of exhaustion. What did you want to discuss, Aunt Audrey? I’ll head to bed once we finish this talk.”

Liberty smiled.

“innocently.”

“I wanted to ask if you’d like to join me for an event tomorrow night. Seren could take you, but I thought you might prefer to come with me instead of going with Seren and Zachary. Don’t worry about what others say about you; after all, I’m your aunt.”

Liberty politely declined the invitation, smiling as she replied, “Aunt Audrey, you said it yourself. Seren can take me if I’m interested, but it’s just not my scene. This community isn’t right for me. Perhaps I’ll be part of the upper crust once my business expands to several restaurants.”

Liberty had no intention of entering the exclusive circle by relying on others. It simply wasn’t her time yet, and she knew she wouldn’t feel at home there. Once she earned her place, the community would embrace her without hesitation.

“I won’t insist, then.”

Liberty even declined a car offered to her by her sister and brother-in-law. Mrs. Stone chose not to press the issue. Considering Duncan’s frequent visits to Liberty’s diner, she fell silent for a moment before asking, “Liberty, does Mr. Lewis have breakfast at your diner every day?”

Liberty responded, “He comes in and gives me business when my diner is open. He’s not picky about food. Even though he’s a billionaire CEO, he behaves like an ordinary person.”

Mrs. Stone observed Liberty’s expression and realized that she didn’t think much of the daily visits. She sighed internally, acknowledging that everyone has their own path, and some things are beyond control.

While Mrs. Stone admired Duncan, Mrs. Lewis clearly looked down on Liberty.

“Go ahead and rest, Liberty. Elisa and I will take you car shopping after your nap,” Mrs. Stone said affectionately.

Liberty was exhausted as she carried her son upstairs and entered the familiar guest room. Clive had gone with his wife to rest in the bedroom.

Chapter 1283 “You’ve attended numerous upper-class gatherings with Ms. Sox.
