His imposing aura was palpable. Serenity, not wanting to linger, quickly pulled Zachary out of the shop after giving him the bouquet.<\/div>\n<div>Shortly after they left Spring Blossoms, the sky darkened.<\/div>\n<div>Serenity called her sister and chatted with her nephew for a while before ending the call.<\/div>\n<div>Sonny waited patiently for his aunt to finish, eager to play with the phone, but his mother took it away from him.<\/div>\n<div>\u201cMom, I want to watch Peppa Pig,\u201d he said.<\/div>\n<div>Liberty tucked the phone back into her pocket and replied, \u201cIf you want to watch cartoons, I\u2019ll turn on the TV for you. You can\u2019t watch it on the phone.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>\u201cYou can only watch TV for half an hour,\u201d she added.<\/div>\n<div>Sonny pouted, but when he saw his mother grab the TV remote and turn on the TV, he relented and said, \u201cOkay.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>After setting up the TV for her son, Liberty returned to the kitchen to prepare ingredients for the next morning.<\/div>\n<div>Suddenly, the doorbell rang.<\/div>\n<div>\u201cI\u2019ll get it, Mom!\u201d Sonny called out when he heard the doorbell, grabbing a small stool to reach the doorknob.<\/div>\n<div>Liberty allowed him to open the door but stepped out of the kitchen to see who had arrived, still holding the kitchen knife.<\/div>\n<div>When the door opened and she spotted Hank and Jessica standing on the porch, Liberty\u2019s expression turned icy.<\/div>\n<div>Hank, initially pleased to see his son at the door, wanted to pick Sonny up. However, upon noticing his ex-wife standing behind their son with a glinting kitchen knife, he felt a twinge of guilt. \u201cLiberty, I\u2026 We\u2019re here to see Sonny and give you an invitation,\u201d he stammered.<\/div>\n<div>The house renovation was halfway complete. He had asked the contractor\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Hank and Jessica finalized the date for their wedding. Jessica enthusiastically suggested they hire someone to create the invitation cards and insisted they send one to Liberty. Hank understood that his ex-wife no longer loved him, yet he still anticipated that Liberty would feel hurt upon receiving the invitation. After all, they had known each other for over a decade, dated for several years, and were married for a short time. Did Liberty truly not care that he was marrying someone else?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLiberty, we brought food for you and Sonny, as well as some toys for him. I also bought a few outfits,\u201d Jessica said cheerfully. She hoped to gather some information from Liberty, particularly if Zachary had discovered the mastermind behind the zoo incident.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDad,\u201d Sonny called out to Hank. The little boy looked at his mother before reaching out for Hank to pick him up. Liberty bent down to grab a small stool, turned, and coldly said, \u201cCome in.\u201d Only then did Hank and Jessica dare to enter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSonny, did you miss Daddy?\u201d Hank asked.<br \/>\n\u201cI didn\u2019t miss Dad,\u201d Sonny replied honestly. He simply stated the truth, not missing his father at all. Hank was taken aback. \u201cHow could you not miss me? That\u2019s so sad! Then who do you miss?\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cDunc,\u201d Sonny answered.  <\/p>\n<p>Hank\u2019s expression soured. Had Duncan already stolen his son\u2019s affection? Feeling displeased, he asked, \u201cWhy do you miss Dunc?\u201d<br \/>\nSonny replied earnestly, \u201cDunc gave me some Legos. I couldn\u2019t put them together, and Mom doesn\u2019t know how, but Dunc does.
