Zachary, I’d like to stay at your place for a while. I’ve already brought my luggage. However, Sam said he couldn’t make the decision and wouldn’t let me in. So, I had no choice but to wait for you here.”

Zachary was left speechless.

If Duncan weren’t an old friend, he would have instructed the driver to accelerate and push past the car blocking their way.

Serenity was taken aback. Noticing her husband’s dark expression, she asked Duncan, “You want to move in here, Mr. Lewis? Why?”

“That woman keeps staying at my house and refuses to leave. She knows the addresses of my other properties as well, so she could find me anywhere. It’s frustrating. I have no choice but to bring my luggage and trouble you two.”

The woman Duncan referred to was Lily Harmon.

Lily was considered the best candidate for a daughter-in-law by Mrs. Lewis. Most notably, she didn’t mind the scar on Duncan’s face. Thus, Mrs. Lewis was doing everything possible to bring them together.

Duncan didn’t want to return to Westwood Manor, so Mrs. Lewis took Lily to one of her son’s villas.

Duncan’s mother was well aware of how many properties he owned.

Unable to escape the situation, he decided to use Zachary as a shield once more. He packed a few sets of clothes and rushed over to Zachary with his luggage.

Although Duncan was somewhat oblivious, he understood that he was intruding on his friend’s romantic time with his wife by showing up.

However, there was no one but Zachary who could help him fend off Lily.

Josh wouldn’t be able to assist either.

If Josh could help Duncan to…

If Lily had been blocked, Duncan would have moved in and stayed with him. Josh would likely feel relieved if he knew the truth. Serenity looked at her partner and said to Duncan with a smile, “Mr. Lewis, you can either drive your car inside or move it first. We can continue our conversation once we’re inside.”

Zachary, his expression darkening, replied, “I’ll let you stay at Seaview Villa.”

Duncan quickly countered, “Seaview Villa is too far away. It takes two hours to reach the seaside from the city by car, which is inconvenient for my work.”

“Babe,” Serenity gently interjected, “let’s discuss this after we get Mr. Lewis settled.”

Zachary huffed, “Old third-wheeler.”

Both Serenity and Duncan were left speechless. Duncan resigned himself to his role as a third wheel. At thirty-six, he felt old compared to those in their twenties and had come to accept this label.

However, Zachary was not in his twenties either; he was in his early thirties, making Duncan only five years older. Despite his displeasure, Zachary still allowed Duncan to move into his villa.

The romantic ambiance that Zachary had created for his wife remained intact. Duncan entered the house behind the couple, dragging his luggage. Upon seeing the beautifully decorated interior, he paused, confused, wondering if he had arrived at the wrong place.

Was this really Zachary’s house? It had a lovely romantic atmosphere, which surprised Duncan. He never imagined that someone as stoic as Zachary had a romantic side. Rubbing his nose, Duncan realized he couldn’t blame his friend for not letting him into his home anymore; he truly was a third wheel.

Chapter 1158 “Ask him what he wants.” Did Duncan really have nothing better to do than drive a car and […]

[20

post-13135","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-married-at-first-sight
["GET
