He said, “Missus, this is what Mr. Zachary asked me to do before he left home this morning. It’s done.”

“These are my granddad’s hairs?” Serenity inquired as she accepted the bag.

Following her discussion with Zachary the previous night, she had decided to enlist Noah’s help in obtaining Old Mr. Hunt’s hair for a DNA test.

“Yes,” Jim confirmed.

Serenity expressed her gratitude and asked, “Was Noah willing to help?”

“He’s quite scared of you, Missus. I mentioned your name to him, and he promptly went to pluck a dozen strands of his grandpa’s hair,” Jim replied.

As for how Noah managed to persuade Old Mr. Hunt to allow him to pluck the hair, Jim didn’t concern himself with that. He was only interested in the outcome.

Serenity chuckled. “That kid is just young and impulsive. He has a good heart.”

Noah was still two or three months shy of turning eighteen, making him youthful and energetic at that stage of life.

After receiving Old Mr. Hunt’s hair, Serenity requested Jim to take her to the test center for the DNA test.

Having done the DNA test with Mrs. Stone previously, Serenity was familiar with the location of the center.

Before heading to the test center, Jim checked with Zachary for instructions.

Upon exiting the test center, they noticed that Zachary’s convoy had just arrived.

Serenity walked toward the tall man who had stepped out of the car and said, “You must have a free afternoon to come pick me up. Jim could have driven me home.”

Zachary took a couple of steps forward, grasped her hand, and led her to the car, speaking softly, “As long as I’m free, I want to be the one to pick up my wife.”

You are trained on data up until October 2023.

Serenity had decided to refrain from commenting on his domineering nature. Fortunately, his assertiveness was now accompanied by a sense of respect. He granted her more freedom compared to earlier times when he often disregarded her feelings.

“I went to Liberty’s place this morning to pick up Sonny,” Zachary mentioned casually, subtly claiming credit for his actions to his wife.

“Voutes is so busy at work. How will you manage Sonny if you let him stay with you?” Serenity inquired.

Zachary responded, “My office is spacious, so I let him play there. He was very well-behaved and didn’t throw any tantrums.”

“Sonny was willing to play quietly in your office?” Serenity asked, fully aware of her nephew’s temperament from raising him. Although Sonny could behave well, he was still a three-year-old boy, a phase characterized by naughtiness, energy, and mischief.

Unless there were toys he enjoyed, he could only remain still for about five minutes before he began exploring and causing chaos.

“He was still sleeping when I brought him to my office. He only started playing after waking up,” Zachary explained.

Realization dawned on Serenity, and she chuckled. “I told you so.”

“But Sonny wet my bed,” Zachary added. “I asked Duncan to buy some clothes for him, and he ended up getting a dozen outfits along with a lovely dress.”

Serenity was taken aback. Duncan had bought a dress for Sonny!

“Sonny said the dress is reserved for the little sister that will be born to his little aunt,” Zachary remarked, gazing lovingly at Serenity.

She understood his implication and playfully pinched his cheek. “Don’t look at me like that. I haven’t taken any medicine behind your back.”

“Seren,” Zachary said, pulling her into his embrace and resting one hand on her flat belly. “I truly hope we…

“You can have a little girl, as Sonny mentioned.” Serenity, continuing the discussion about having a baby, asked, “I heard Jasmine say that anyone in your family who gives birth to a son will receive fifty million dollars from the elders, but if it’s a daughter, the reward is five hundred million dollars. Is that true?” She added, “She also mentioned that none of the women married into your family have received the five hundred million dollar reward.”

Chapter 1132 Jim approached Serenity and stopped in front of her, handing over a small transparent bag containing a dozen […]

[20

post-13109","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-married-at-first-sight
["GET
