After all, this is our home. We can come back whenever we like and stay for as long as we want.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>As Serenity prepared to remove the apron from him, she said, \u201cI\u2019ll go make dinner.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>\u201cThere\u2019s no need for that. I only have two more dishes to prepare, and then I\u2019ll be finished. I\u2019ll bring Sonny with me.\u201d<br \/>\nLiberty couldn\u2019t leave the store behind, but visiting the Yorks\u2019 home to meet the parents on behalf of her deceased parents felt more important than her current responsibilities.<br \/>\nSince her brother-in-law had everything covered, she would let Mrs. Lane and Jim manage the store while she took her son to the Yorks\u2019 family home.<br \/>\n\u201cSeren, Sonny wants to talk to you.\u201d<br \/>\nWhen the little guy learned that his aunt was on the line, he kept tugging at his mother\u2019s sleeve, eager to speak with her.<br \/>\nLiberty handed the phone to her son, who quickly took it and sweetly said, \u201cAunt\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSonny, are you having dinner? Are you full? What did Mommy cook for you?\u201d Sonny replied cheerfully, \u201cIt\u2019s not Mom\u2019s cooking. It\u2019s the food Dad brought for me. It\u2019s delicious, but Mom didn\u2019t eat any. She\u2019s just having vegetables.\u201d Liberty was still trying to lose weight, so she avoided meat at dinner and only had a little during lunch. \u201cDid your dad come by again?\u201d That Hank was really clingy and wouldn\u2019t leave them alone.
