Let’s go after Liberty. What kind of business is she running?”

“F&B, a breakfast spot.”

“Oh, right. A breakfast diner. That means we can enjoy free meals there.”

After learning that Liberty was opening a new business, Old Mr. Hunt couldn’t help but complain about her refusal to lend a million to his grandson to help him get back on his feet. As if that weren’t enough, he also criticized his late son Scott for having two ungrateful daughters. Serenity and Liberty were driving him to his wits’ end.

Returning to the car, Old Mr. Hunt urged his sons and grandsons to take advantage of Liberty’s new diner.

They could enjoy meals there every time they visited the city. After all, it’s not like Liberty could refuse them service; they were family!

However, when Old Mr. Hunt brought his sons and grandsons to Liberty’s breakfast diner, they found it closed.

Noticing the shuttered establishment, he stayed in the car and grumbled, “Where on earth are these kids? None of them are running the place. They might as well hand over the business since they aren’t willing to work.”

Mike and the others found this strange.

While it was typical for Serenity’s bookstore to be closed on weekends, Liberty’s situation was different.

Where could the sisters be?

Unbeknownst to them, their money-seeking relatives were actively searching for them.

It took Serenity and Liberty over an hour to reach their hometown, as heavy traffic slowed their journey.

As they caught sight of their parents’ home from a distance, Serenity and Liberty were filled with nostalgia, reminiscing about the happy times they shared as a family of four when Scott and Lisa were still alive.

Zachary had brought his security team along, as had Mrs. Stone.

With everyone on alert for potential disputes, it was

It is safer to be surrounded by security. Due to limited parking on the driveway, some vehicles were relocated to the town square. Serenity heard her grandmother yelling as she exited the car. “Don’t dump it here! This is my grandson’s house. How can you claim it belongs to those bitches? Move your car immediately and take the bricks and gravel with you!” Serenity had previously arranged for truck drivers to deliver loads of bricks, gravel, and sand to her parents’ home. However, with the truck drivers now present, Old Mrs. Hunt was preventing them from unloading the construction materials at her gate. When she realized Serenity was responsible, Old Mrs. Hunt unleashed a torrent of profanity. Known for her unpleasant demeanor, she could yell loud enough for the entire neighborhood to hear. Her daughter-in-law and other grandsons joined her to support the cause. The commotion drew the attention of other curious neighbors, who emerged from their houses to investigate. “Are Serenity and Liberty back to renovate the house?” one asked. “Mrs. Deli would know. We should ask her,” another suggested. “I heard they’re back to rebuild their parents’ house. The girls have found their footing and returned to reclaim it.” Serenity’s home sat on a large piece of land, but not all of it belonged to Old Mr. Hunt. He and his wife had favored certain children, leaving Serenity’s father with a mere 400 square feet. To compensate for this, Scott and Lisa purchased additional land and exchanged farmland with neighbors to expand the property their family now owned.

Chapter 1018 “Forget it.
