The chilly spring weather and her soak in the icy water caused Carrie to catch a cold. With her fever rising in the middle of the night, Mrs. Newman promptly contacted the family doctor. Mrs. Newman only left Carrie\u2019s bedroom once her fever had subsided.<\/div>\n
