He had anticipated that Elisa would seize the opportunity to undermine him in front of Serenity.<\/div>\n

Pulling out his phone, Zachary said, \u201cI\u2019ll call the traffic police to have the car towed. It\u2019s parked there, blocking traffic.\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cHe secretly checked on the car twice. I suppose he\u2019s waiting until I\u2019m not around to call the tow truck,\u201d Serenity replied sarcastically. \u201cHe\u2019s acting like a thief.\u201d<\/div>\n

She was curious to see how her relatives would react if Harriet adopted all the features of Mike\u2019s sister. What would her oldest cousin and her husband think when they found out? It would certainly shake the Hunt family to its core.<\/div>\n
\u201cWhat is your oldest cousin\u2019s name? I can inform Josh so he can look into it. We can make Harriet resemble Mike\u2019s sister if we get a picture of her face.\u201d<\/div>\n
As Serenity disclosed her oldest cousin\u2019s name to Zachary, he immediately texted Josh: [Get that Harriet girl to look like this woman.]<\/div>\n
Josh responded with a voice note, \u201cZachary, did you leave work early again?\u201d<\/div>\n

Zachary spoke in a matter-of-fact tone, \u201cYes, I left work early. Do you have a problem with that? I thought you all would be pleased.\u201d <\/p>\n

While everyone else celebrated Zachary\u2019s absence from the office, Josh felt differently. He also wanted to leave work early to spend time with Jasmine. <\/p>\n

Before Zachary could respond, Serenity continued, \u201cNana mentioned that my granddad and other relatives have been stalking them. These people lack any shame and have no limits. They believe we pose no threat now that they\u2019ve lost their businesses and jobs.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cWell, we\u2019ll start with my parents\u2019 house then. My sister and I have discussed it and plan to reclaim our home after the new year. Once the word gets out, I\u2019m sure my granddad and the others will hurry back.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cThey won\u2019t get anything from me. They probably won\u2019t relinquish the house my parents left behind. But by doing this, we can draw them back to our hometown. It\u2019s time to take this to court since reconciliation is no longer an option.\u201d <\/p>\n

The Hunts had crossed the line too many times. Serenity had been strategizing to redirect their attention, and her parents\u2019 home seemed the perfect starting point. It was high time to take action.<\/p>\n

She decided to pursue legal action regardless. Zachary\u2019s dark eyes sparkled with confidence as he believed Serenity\u2019s plan would succeed. It would also resolve the problem with the house. <\/p>\n

\u201cOkay, I\u2019ll accompany you to your hometown this weekend. It\u2019s been a long time since you last visited your parents\u2019 grave. I can join you and your sister in paying your parents a visit this year as well.\u201d<\/p>\n
