Grandma May watched him drive off and turned her attention to Liberty, who was back at the register. Liberty had a small book and a calculator in front of her, tallying the expenses for the store and its renovations.<\/div>\n
Grandma May thought to herself, \u2018It seems I was overthinking things.\u2019<\/div>\n
Liberty had no interest in Duncan.<\/div>\n
Nonetheless, she hesitantly asked Liberty, \u201cWhat are your plans for the future?\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cI hope All You Can Eat can open branches across the country,\u201d Liberty replied.<\/div>\n
\u201cBusiness is important, but what about your personal life? You\u2019re only thirty-one\u2014so young! Have you thought about it? I meant what I said before: if you\u2019re open to it, I can introduce you to a dedicated and capable young man.\u201d<\/div>\n

Liberty chuckled. \u201cNana, you have nine grandsons. Aside from the oldest and youngest, the other seven are of marriageable age, yet they\u2019re all still single. Isn\u2019t that enough to worry about?\u201d<\/div>\n
Grandma May pulled Sonny onto her lap.<\/div>\n
She laughed and said, \u201cI\u2019m old now and can\u2019t do much else. My grandsons take care of me and won\u2019t let me work, so I\u2019ve taken up matchmaking out of boredom. Just this morning, I showed Callum and Kevin two photos and told them to pursue their wives based on the goals I set for them. They should be able to shed their bachelor status within a year.\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cI\u2019m not particularly worried about my grandsons under twenty-five. Only the first six are over<\/div>\n

\u201cTwenty-five, and the younger three are still quite young. There\u2019s no need for concern. Men mature later and are not as precocious as women. They can only support a small family when they marry at an older age.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cIf a man marries too young, he may still have a childlike heart and may not be capable of raising a family.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy sixth grandson will be turning twenty-five this year, but I\u2019m not in a hurry for him either. Once Callum and Kevin are settled, I\u2019ll focus on my fourth and fifth grandsons. When I find a suitable candidate, I\u2019ll bring their photos to them so they can complete their task.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cIn a year\u2019s time, I\u2019ll have arranged marriages for four grandsons.\u201d <\/p>\n

Liberty was taken aback. <\/p>\n

At that pace, even if Grandma May had a hundred grandchildren, she would be able to see them all married off quickly. <\/p>\n

Liberty politely declined. \u201cGrandma May, I\u2019m not ready to think about love right now. I\u2019ve known Hank for over ten years, yet we divorced after less than four years of marriage and nearly became enemies. That experience has been enough of a torment for me. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhat did marriage bring me? The only good thing I got from that union was Sonny.\u201d <\/p>\n
