Their shamelessness reached new heights.

“You must be kidding. The door’s right there. Leave immediately!”

Annoyed by their audacity, Serenity refused to waste her politeness on them and pointed them toward the exit.

John and the others retreated, but they only kept one foot out the door.

They were relying on Old Mr. Hunt to confront Serenity alone.

Since he was an elderly man, Serenity wouldn’t resort to violence, no matter how angry she felt.

“Serenity!”

Scowling, Old Mr. Hunt shouted her name and waited until he had her full attention before saying, “We can leave, but not before I get a million bucks. I could return and take care of your grandmother. If you don’t give me the money, I’ll create a scene at your husband’s office.”

“Without that money, I’ll make sure to humiliate you, turning you into a laughingstock in front of your in-laws.”

Serenity turned on her heel and grabbed the broom.

As Serenity prepared for a confrontation, John and the others quickly exited the shop.

However, Old Mr. Hunt remained steadfast, believing that Serenity wouldn’t dare touch him. In fact, he hoped she would hit him, as that would allow him to demand even more money.

But Serenity did not strike him.

Instead, she set the broom down, turned around, and walked away.

It was a significant victory for Old Mr. Hunt.

No matter the circumstances, it was wrong to physically harm an elderly man, especially when he was simply sitting there.

Serenity could not stoop to violence with a shameless old man like Old Mr. Hunt, so she

She entered the bathroom and filled a bucket with water. Carrying it, she splashed the water all over Old Mr. Hunt.

Old Mr. Hunt was taken aback by this unexpected attack.

The water cascaded down his head, soaking him completely.

The Hunts were left speechless.

That was cold, even for Serenity!

She didn’t hit the old man, but she drenched him thoroughly.

“Serenity!”

Old Mr. Hunt wiped the water from his face, feeling his authority as the head of the household challenged.
