On their way home, Serenity mentioned Duncan to her sister, \u201cLiberty, I think the universe is bringing you two together. You keep running into him. He was even driving by when he spotted you and Sonny.\u201d<\/div>\n
Liberty laughed heartily. \u201cThat\u2019s just a coincidence, Seren. Mr. Lewis has a fondness for Sonny.\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cHonestly, I feel uneasy whenever I encounter Mr. Lewis,\u201d she admitted.<\/div>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s true that Mr. Lewis has taken a liking to Sonny. I was at an Italian restaurant with Jasmine when we ran into Zachary and Mr. Bucham treating Mr. Lewis to dinner. \u201cDid you make an effort to call him? He\u2019s away on important business, and you\u2019ve had nothing to do at home. All you\u2019ve done is take Sonny out shopping and dining with Jasmine. Now the boy has the travel bug.\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cYou didn\u2019t even try to contact Zachary to check on him. Did you ask if he can make it back for Christmas and New Year?\u201d<\/div>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s time for the festive holidays,\u201d Serenity said as she tapped to put the call on speaker. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhere are you now, Seren?\u201d Zachary asked, already knowing she was out as soon as the line connected; he could hear the engine running. <\/p>\n

\u201cI went shopping with my sister. We bought a lot of gifts. All that\u2019s left is for you to come home.\u201d <\/p>\n

Zachary felt disappointed to find the house empty upon his return. Gradually, his frown softened as he sat down on the sofa and loosened his tie. He asked gently, \u201cAre you on your way back? When will you be home? I\u2019m here now. Text me when you reach the neighborhood, and I\u2019ll come downstairs to help with the bags.\u201d <\/p>\n

Serenity replied regretfully, \u201cYou\u2019re back? I thought you wouldn\u2019t return until later tonight or tomorrow morning.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t you want me home?\u201d he queried. <\/p>\n

\u201cNo, I do! I want you home. The timing is perfect; you can help carry the shopping bags.\u201d <\/p>\n

Serenity felt she hadn\u2019t had enough fun, and she didn\u2019t want her \u201chungry wolf\u201d home too soon to drain her energy. Although Zachary was reserved by nature, she assumed he would be the same in the bedroom. It never occurred to her that he could be passionate and had remarkable stamina\u2014like an Energizer Bunny. Serenity would think twice before trying to turn him on, worried that if she got him too excited, she might not be able to get out of bed. <\/p>\n

\u201cAm I your porter?\u201d Zachary complained, though his tone reflected affection. \u201cYour personal porter will be downstairs, waiting for you.\u201d<\/p>\n
