A couple more drinks won’t make me drunk.”

“You should stop while you still can.”

“We came here for a drink or two. Excess is not good for you.”

Serenity stared at her with an unsettling intensity.

Jasmine paused for a moment before rising to leave, reminding her brother to keep an eye on Serenity.

After a while, Jasmine returned with a pen, some papers, and a glass of wine.

“This is your last drink. I brought some sheets of paper for you to draw on.”

“Jas, is Serenity drunk? Can she still draw?”

Serenity insisted she was sober, but the reality was she was intoxicated.

Instead of responding to her brother’s question, Jasmine handed the pen and papers to Serenity. Serenity accepted them and began to draw without putting down her drink.

She started by sketching a ball.

Drake was at a loss for words.

Drawing a circle while drunk was not particularly challenging; Drake thought it was a simple task.

Next, Serenity illustrated a lake, complete with an excessive number of wavy lines along the shore. After that, she depicted a person standing by the lake.

Drake watched in awe.

“Does Serenity like to draw when she’s drunk, Jas?”

Jasmine nodded. “If she wants to vent but can’t find the words, just give her a pen and paper, and she’ll express herself through her doodles.”

Drake was speechless.

Some people were simply strange.

Thankfully, Jasmine understood Serenity well; otherwise, Drake would have been completely baffled.

Serenity put considerable thought into sketching the silhouette of a person.

Without needing to get closer, Jasmine could tell Serenity was drawing Zachary.

Intrigued, Drake continued to watch Serenity as she doodled.

She captured the upper half of Zachary’s body on the paper. Once she was

She finished her drawing, taking a moment to add a small heart to his chest. Setting down her pen, she picked up her untouched glass of wine and admired her artwork while taking a sip. Serenity felt she had successfully brought the character to life, especially since portraits were not her strong suit.

Jasmine picked up the paper for a closer look and exclaimed, “You’ve made a breakthrough in portrait drawing, Seren! This is incredibly lifelike. You’ve captured Mr. York’s cold eyes and expressionless face perfectly. It’s like I’m looking at a photograph.”

She recognized that Serenity had managed to breathe life into a portrait of Zachary because Serenity had, around 6:30, fallen in love with him.

“Jas, did Serenity draw a river or a lake? What do those wavy lines mean?”

Tilting her head, Jasmine replied to her brother, “Are you blind? Can’t you tell if it’s a river or a lake? Serenity depicted everything well, but you can’t even distinguish between the two. You should cut back on video games; they’re not good for your eyes. Ask Mom to get you some supplements.”

Drake snatched the drawing from his sister and muttered, “It’s too small for a lake and too short to be a river. I genuinely can’t tell the difference.”

“Look at the wavy lines along the shore. What happens when you mix water and dirt? What do you get?”

“You get soil with a slimy texture.”

“Exactly, slime.”

“So the ball… is it a slimeball?”

Drake lifted his gaze to Serenity, who was busy enjoying her wine, while Jasmine remained quiet. He looked back at the portrait of Zachary, finally grasping the hidden message. However, he still wondered who this man was, as Serenity had referred to him as a slimeball.

“I’m still sober.
