She finished two sandwiches, a plate of pancakes, and a cup of coffee. <\/p>\n

She sat on the swing chair on the balcony for a while before heading back inside to search through the cabinets. <\/p>\n

After washing the dishes, Mrs. Lane came out of the kitchen to find Serenity searching. \u201cI cleaned the house, so some items might not be where they usually are.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m looking for the home first-aid kit. It\u2019s a white box I ordered online; it\u2019s our family medicine box.\u201d <\/p>\n

Mrs. Lane hummed in understanding, went into the guest room, and soon returned with the medicine box. \u201cI placed it in the guest room. Are you feeling unwell?\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cMy head and eyes hurt. It\u2019s just because I didn\u2019t sleep well. I\u2019ll be fine after taking a painkiller.\u201d <\/p>\n

As Mrs. Lane opened the medicine box, she watched Serenity snap a painkiller from the sheet and pop it into her mouth. <\/p>\n

Mrs. Lane quickly poured her a cup of warm water. <\/p>\n

\u201cDo you often get headaches, Ms. Hunt?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, just occasionally. The medicine works quickly, so I always keep it at home.\u201d<\/div>\n
Mrs. Lane replied, \u201cYou should still use it sparingly. The medicine has side effects.\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t use it often. The pharmacist also informed me about the side effects when I purchased it. I only take it when I have headaches and pain behind my eyes due to lack of sleep.\u201d<\/div>\n
She only had the medicine because she needed to return to the store today.<\/div>\n
Ten minutes later, Serenity grabbed her purse and car keys and said to Mrs. Lane, \u201cLet\u2019s go, Mrs. Lane.\u201d \u201cMop the floor first, Ms. Hunt. You go ahead; I\u2019ll take a cab later,\u201d Mrs. Lane replied, wanting to wait until Serenity left so she could call Zachary.<\/div>\n
