I came straight over after feeding Sonny. I’m mostly done with the packing, but I’ll need your help to drive over and move my things once the divorce is finalized, Seren.”

“I found a good place to rent this morning. It’s not too far from your place, and the public transportation options in the area are quite good. The only issue is getting the place cleaned up. I’ll sort that out once I finish the necessary procedures.” The priority right now was finalizing the divorce.

Hopefully, there wouldn’t be any complications along the way.

“You should eat something and relax here, Liberty. I’ll drive you to the bank to meet with Hank. I’ll stay with you until he transfers the money to your account, and then I’ll head back to the shop.”

Grandma May interjected before Liberty could decline. “Let Serenity accompany you, Liberty. We won’t feel comfortable if you go alone. That family is shameless, and who knows what tricks they might try again?” She then turned to Serenity. “Seren, take your sister to the family court once she receives the agreed assets. Keep an eye on the Browns. Some people may resort to violence during a divorce.”

“You know kickboxing, so it’s a good idea for you to go along. You’ll feel more at ease, and so will we.”

“I’ll follow your suggestion, Grandma May.” Serenity wanted to support her sister fully, but Liberty had been hesitant to accept her help. Now that Grandma May had spoken up, Liberty couldn’t refuse out of respect for her elder and agreed to the plan.

With that, Serenity laid her nephew down on the sofa bed.

Jasinine and Mrs. Lane entered the kitchen to bring out the prepared food.

“Sorry to intrude.”

A voice interrupted.

Interrupted

As they were enjoying their meals, the group turned to the entrance of the shop and spotted Mr. Zen, the lobby manager of Wiltspoon Hotel. He entered carrying several packed dishes, placing them on the dining table. With a smile directed at Serenity, he said, “Here I am again, Ms. Hunt. Mr. York called and ordered a few dishes for you.”

While speaking, he retrieved the food containers from the bag, lifting the lids to reveal the contents on the table. Serenity smiled in gratitude, saying, “Thank you for coming all this way.”

“It’s no trouble at all,” Mr. Zen replied, feeling honored to run errands for Mr. Zachary. More importantly, he appreciated the opportunity to be in the presence of the missus.

Anyone familiar with Mr. Zachary knew he was an indifferent man; however, the person closest to his heart must surely be the love of his life. For Serenity to hold that position, Mr. Zen understood the importance of establishing himself in her presence—it would be far more beneficial than simply trying to impress Mr. Zachary.

“Um… I should let you enjoy your lunch,” he said with a grin, nodding at Grandma May before turning on his heel to leave.

Serenity accompanied him for a short distance to see him off. Once he was gone, she quickly pulled out her phone to send a thank-you message to Zachary, complete with a kissing emoji. Zachary was pleased to receive the text from his wife. During lunch, Serenity mentioned, “Liberty, I spoke with Zachary and told him to hire a dozen strong men to wait outside your residential building. Once the divorce papers are finalized, they’ll start moving you out and demolishing the renovations.” Liberty responded cheerfully, “I was worried about where to find people to tear the place down.” Initially, Grandma May had considered volunteering her grandsons to assist with the demolition; however, upon reflection, she decided against it.

Recognizing that it wasn’t the weekend and that year-end was fast approaching, Grandma May was reluctant to pull her grandsons away from their busy schedules to help out. Since Serenity had already spoken with Zachary, Grandma May chose to stay out of the matter. Jasmine then added, “Serenity, did Mr. York hire enough people for the task? I can call my cousins to join if you need more assistance. Also, do you want to involve Elisa? She’ll definitely give you a hard time for not including her in the fun.”

If Elisa were present, she would praise Jasmine for being such a good friend! Jasmine always made sure to include her in all the enjoyable activities.

Chapter 543 Serenity carried her sleeping nephew as she asked her sister, “Have you eaten, Liberty?” “Not yet.
