Although she was disappointed that they could not finalize the divorce immediately, she agreed to his plan, knowing it was just another day’s wait.

She handed Hank the two signed divorce agreements and said, “Please review them. If everything looks good, just sign.”

Hank took the divorce agreements.

In addition to the terms she had mentioned earlier, Liberty promised to destroy all evidence she had on the day of their divorce and assured him that she would not seek revenge.

Hank accepted this. He was simply saddened by the fact that he had to pay Liberty over a million dollars and give up custody of their son.

However, after some reflection, Hank realized that he would eventually earn the money back, so he decided to endure it.

“I’ll sign it,” he said. In a serious tone, he added, “See you tomorrow.”

Liberty nodded in response.

Hank gazed at her intently for a moment before he embraced Jessica and prepared to leave.

After taking a couple of steps, Hank paused and turned to ask, “Liberty, can you tell me who provided you with all that evidence?”

That person had thoroughly investigated everything Hank had done and even had proof of it. The thought of Liberty having such support unsettled him.

Feeling threatened, Hank had agreed to Liberty’s divorce terms, fearing for his future and suspecting that Liberty might have a powerful ally.

“Is that really important? I promise that once the divorce is finalized, I’ll hand over the evidence and won’t keep any copies.”

Hank felt helpless when Liberty refused to share that information. He just hugged Jessica and left.

He hadn’t walked far when he received a call from his boss, who said something that caused him to release Jessica. He briefly spoke to her before…

Two individuals rushed to their car.

They quickly entered the vehicle and drove off.

Liberty stood there, gazing in the direction of Hank’s car. After a while, she looked away and took out her phone to call her sister.

“Seren.”

In a cheerful mood, Liberty said, “I spoke with Hank. He agreed to divide the property as I requested. If everything goes according to plan, I’ll also gain custody of Sonny!”

“Hank promised to handle the divorce formalities tomorrow afternoon.”

“Liberty, is that really true? That’s fantastic! I didn’t expect you to negotiate with him so quickly. Did you show him the evidence?”

Serenity responded, “Mhmm… He wouldn’t have compromised without seeing the evidence. He would have even told me to leave without a dime because I wanted to rush the divorce.”

Hank could be ruthless when he chose to be.

“Seren, are you still at the Wiltspoon Hotel? I noticed your car when I went there earlier to wait for Hank.”

Serenity had invited Mrs. Stone and Elisa to lunch. They had finished eating but stayed at the hotel to discuss her mother, allowing Mrs. Stone to learn about her late sister’s life as a wife and mother.

Upon hearing this, Serenity said, “Liberty, why didn’t you let me know when you saw my car? I would have come downstairs to pick you up, and we could have had lunch together.”

Liberty smiled and replied, “I came to find Hank after having lunch. We’ll have more chances to dine there in the future. It’s more important to deal with that scoundrel Hank first.”

“Did you and Mrs. Stone do a DNA test?”

“Yes. We’ll receive the results in a few days.”

Liberty paused for a moment before saying, “So what if we find out the results? Our…

“Mother passed away fifteen years ago…” She paused, feeling uncomfortable and on the verge of tears. Liberty hadn’t shed a single tear when she divorced Hank, but the thought of her mother brought forth an overwhelming sadness. Serenity sat in silence. “Mrs. Stone is struggling to come to terms with this. She has spent decades searching for her sister, and just when she finally found a clue, her sister is no longer in this world.” “Elisa mentioned that her mother cried all day after leaving your house yesterday. She didn’t eat or drink, and Elisa and her brothers were extremely worried.”

Chapter 519 Liberty listened to Hank’s words.
