There\u2019s nothing to hide. Nana will be pleased to see us together. She knows we\u2019ve been sleeping in separate rooms since our marriage and has always encouraged me to do all sorts of things for you.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>Zachary looked at her in silence.<\/div>\n<div>He felt utterly helpless with his nana.<\/div>\n<div>Yet, he was mostly grateful now. Without her persistent nudging, he might not have married Serenity.<\/div>\n<div>\u201cI\u2019m heading back to my room to change. What would you like to eat today? I\u2019ll cook for you.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>\u201cI picked up takeout for breakfast, so there\u2019s no need to cook.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>Serenity glanced at him in surprise before leaving the room.<\/div>\n<div>Zachary\u2019s expression darkened. What did those looks mean?<\/div>\n<div>Was it odd that he got takeout for her? Would that make the sun rise in the west?<\/div>\n<div>\u201cGood morning, Nana.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>Serenity stepped out and greeted the old lady as if nothing was amiss.<\/div>\n<div>\u201cGood morning, Serenity.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>Grandma May looked at her fondly. \u201cYou must be hungry. Zack got up early and braved\u2026<\/p>\n<p>The cold wind and rain led to Wiltspoon Hotel, where he packed breakfast to take home. He mentioned that you enjoy the food there. <\/p>\n<p>Serenity\u2019s heart warmed as she listened, feeling cherished. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not picky. He could have just grabbed any breakfast from a nearby restaurant.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Grandma May laughed. \u201cYou\u2019ll tire of eating the same thing every day. It\u2019s nice to try something different now and then. It\u2019s cold today, so go change your clothes and put on a jacket.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Serenity hummed and pretended to be calm as she returned to her room. Once the door was closed, she couldn\u2019t help but laugh. <\/p>\n<p>Ring, ring, ring\u2026 <\/p>\n<p>The phone rang. <\/p>\n<p>Serenity pulled out her phone, expecting it to be her sister calling, but it was her best friend, Jasmine. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cJasmine, I\u2019ll be there soon.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Serenity assumed Jasmine was reminding her to help out at the store because it was busy. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cSeren, I haven\u2019t gone to the store today. I have a cold. I felt dizzy when I woke up this morning, so I took my temperature and discovered I have a high fever. I\u2019ll need to go to the hospital later. I just wanted to give you a heads-up that you\u2019ll need to watch the store today.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cHow did you catch a cold? Did you dress for fashion instead of warmth? It\u2019s raining today, and it feels like winter. Make sure to wear more layers. The store belongs to us, so it\u2019s only natural for me to watch it. Please don\u2019t stand on ceremony with me. <\/p>\n<p>Quickly get yourself to the hospital. Don\u2019t drive\u2014ask your brother to take you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jasmine responded with a hum. \u201cMy mom will take me to the hospital, so I won\u2019t trouble my brother. I\u2019ll see the doctor first.\u201d  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cOkay, take care.\u201d  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou too. Make sure to wear more layers.\u201d  <\/p>\n<p>After encouraging each other, Jasmine hung up first.  <\/p>\n<p>Since she couldn\u2019t go to the store today, Serenity needed to hurry instead of lingering. She quickly changed her clothes and freshened up.  <\/p>\n<p>Then, she grabbed her usual purse and headed out.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cNana and Zachary, I\u2019ll go to the store first.
