I thought you had gone to work,\u201d Serenity remarked.<\/div>\n<div>Grandma May then gave her grandson an exasperated look.<\/div>\n<div>It was a shame for her impressive performance to go unnoticed. Zack had missed a golden opportunity.<\/div>\n<div>The poor guy just didn\u2019t get it.<\/div>\n<div>\u201cNana, I took the day off today. After breakfast, we\u2019ll pick Sonny up at Bright Boulevard. I\u2019m taking all of you to a resort in the west suburbs for a stroll and some fresh air.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>Ignoring Nana\u2019s glare, Zachary stepped closer and explained his reason for being at home.<\/div>\n<div>He went to assist Serenity with her belongings, and together they carried the bed linens into the vacant guest room.<\/div>\n<div>When he finished speaking, Grandma May inquired, \u201cFor how long?\u201d \u201cJust one day,\u201d he replied.<\/div>\n<div>\u201cIt\u2019s a resort, and one day isn\u2019t enough to enjoy ourselves. Since you took today off and tomorrow is the weekend, we could have a nice three-day vacation at the resort,\u201d she suggested.<\/div>\n<div>Zachary glanced at Serenity before responding calmly, \u201cLiberty is finalizing her divorce with Hank tomorrow. As her family, we need to support her. We can\u2019t allow the Browns to take advantage of her.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>Serenity looked at him with gratitude.<\/div>\n<div>Grandma May was pleased that her grandson was understanding this love game.<\/div>\n<div>Zachary referred to Liberty as family and spoke in a caring manner. Serenity gazed at him with heart-shaped eyes. Not bad at all. Grandma May could foresee a great-granddaughter if Zachary maintained this behavior.<\/div>\n<div>\u201cYou make a good point. We should all go; there\u2019s strength in numbers. We can confront them together. The Browns aren\u2019t intimidating,\u201d she said.<\/div>\n<div>\u201cAbsolutely.\u201d Zachary welcomed Nana\u2019s involvement. She had been quite formidable in her younger days. Although she was older now and couldn\u2019t fight as she once did, Zachary believed no one could out-argue Nana.<\/div>\n<div>Liberty\u2019s mother-in-law and sister-in-law were outrageous. The best way to handle them in a dispute was to have an elder like Nana step in.<\/div>\n<div>\u201cSeren, remind your sister to keep an eye out in case Hank tries to hide his wealth and income. Your sister is aware of that, right? She should review the account books to see if the numbers add up. Don\u2019t let the other woman get any of the money.\u201d The wise and experienced<\/p>\n<p>Grandma May understood the situation better than the younger generation. \u201cThese individuals often pass their assets to their family. I have an old friend whose grandchildren work at a bank.
