Zachary stood up and playfully flicked her forehead, causing her to wince in pain.<\/div>\n
\u201cI can\u2019t even begin to fathom what\u2019s going on in your head. You\u2019re always so unpredictable,\u201d he remarked.<\/div>\n
Serenity boldly replied, \u201cNana always tells me to jump you, strip you, and sleep with you so she can have a great-granddaughter. I\u2019m still considering whether to fulfill Nana\u2019s wish.\u201d<\/div>\n
Zachary flicked her forehead again upon hearing this. \u201cOuch!\u201d she exclaimed.<\/div>\n
It hurt, so Serenity retaliated by pinching his cheeks. \u201cSerenity,\u201d he said, slightly annoyed.<\/div>\n
Zachary then grasped both of her hands, his expression turning serious. Serenity\u2019s playful demeanor faded as she met his intense gaze. Cautiously, she said, \u201cMr. York, just tell me what you want to say. Your serious look is a bit intimidating.\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cListen,\u201d he urged.<\/div>\n
\u201cMhmm, I\u2019m all ears,\u201d she responded.<\/div>\n
\u201cWhether we sleep together or not is a private matter, and we should follow our hearts. Don\u2019t do it just because someone told you to,\u201d Zachary advised.<\/div>\n
He didn\u2019t want their first experience to be influenced by his grandmother.<\/div>\n
Just like when they obtained their marriage license, Zachary had told his grandmother that how he treated Serenity was his business, and that she should refrain from interfering in their relationship.<\/div>\n

They were not yet in love, so it was still too early for them to sleep together. This was similar to how Zachary had responded to Serenity\u2019s earlier question in the car: \u201c\u2026because you haven\u2019t fallen in love with me yet.\u201d <\/p>\n

Zachary finally gained clarity about their situation. He quickly walked up to her and matched her pace, treating his wife to a seafood feast at a beachfront restaurant for dinner. <\/p>\n

Serenity ordered two bottles of beer. \u201cI like to get two bottles of beer when I have dinner with Jasmine. It\u2019s enjoyable to drink beer while eating,\u201d she explained. <\/p>\n

As Zachary peeled shrimp for her, he replied, \u201cBeer is the only drink you can handle with your level of alcohol tolerance.\u201d <\/p>\n

Serenity blushed. \u201cI know my alcohol tolerance is low, but I can manage two bottles of beer. I\u2019ll just sleep soundly afterward.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cWould you like a drink?\u201d she asked. \u201cIf I drink, does that mean we stay here for the night?\u201d Serenity playfully stuck out her tongue, realizing, \u2018Right, he has to drive tonight, so he can\u2019t drink.\u2019 <\/p>\n

So, Zachary continued to peel shrimp and debone the fish for Serenity while she ate, drank, and talked about her sister. He could sense that even as they spent time together, Serenity was still concerned about her sister\u2019s future. <\/p>\n
