What\u2019s the special occasion? I\u2019ve never seen him send you flowers before,\u201d Shawn remarked, his smile appearing somewhat forced and his tone tinged with bitterness as if he had a grievance.<\/div>\n<div>Serenity looked up at him and replied, \u201cDoes there need to be an occasion for my husband to send me flowers? He could send me a bouquet every day if he wanted. I just worry about him spending too much since bouquets aren\u2019t cheap and are not edible. I told him it would be better to save that money for meat instead of flowers, which is why he hasn\u2019t sent me any before.\u201d<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Shawn responded, \u201cRight\u2026\u201d<\/div>\n<div>\u201cShawn, are you looking for Jas? Why not call her? She should be back soon.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>\u201cIt\u2019s nothing. I just happened to pass by and thought I\u2019d stop in to see you both. I\u2019ll head back to work now,\u201d he replied.<\/div>\n<div>\u201cOkay.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>Serenity answered while continuing to admire the bouquet that Zachary had given her.<\/div>\n<div>Seeing her focused on the flowers made Shawn feel uneasy, but he couldn\u2019t express his feelings, so he turned and left.<\/div>\n<div>Ever since Serenity declined Shawn\u2019s invitation to attend a business reception with him, she had been indifferent toward him, consistently reminding him that she was a married woman.<\/div>\n<div>Shawn thought, \u2018Didn\u2019t Serenity marry a stranger?\u2019<\/div>\n<div>Jas had mentioned that Serenity only got married to ease Liberty\u2019s mind and that Serenity and her husband had signed a six-month agreement, intending to divorce afterward.<\/p>\n<p>the contract period.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>Did Serenity fall in love with her mysterious husband?<\/div>\n<div>Shawn appeared listless.<\/div>\n<div>\u201cShawn? I\u2019ll grab Sonny and be right back. Let\u2019s go get some coffee.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>With that, Jasmine took Sonny into the store, where the little boy was already asleep.<\/div>\n<div>\u201cSeren, Sonny is asleep.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>Jasmine handed her nephew to her friend. Upon noticing the bouquet on the table, Jasmine immediately understood why Shawn seemed so downcast. She didn\u2019t need to ask to know that Mr. York had given Serenity those flowers.<\/div>\n<div>Jasmine thought, \u2018It seems Serenity has reconciled with her husband. Mr. York even brought her flowers.\u2019<\/div>\n<div>Serenity held her nephew, saying, \u201cSonny slept in today. He usually naps around noon.\u201d Jasmine placed the snacks and toys she had bought on the table.<\/div>\n<div>\u201cYou bought so many toys for Sonny again.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>\u201cI picked out whatever he liked, and it wasn\u2019t too expensive. Seren, did Mr. York give you this bouquet? It\u2019s so beautiful!\u201d<\/div>\n<div>As Jasmine admired the lovely bouquet, she winked at her friend.<\/div>\n<div>Serenity\u2019s cheeks flushed, and she replied, \u201cHe mentioned he stumbled upon a florist and saw this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He brought me a beautiful bouquet and mentioned that it didn\u2019t hold any significance. However, witnessing Zachary\u2019s distress and his sudden departure after giving it to her made her reflect on the situation for several days.
