As they gazed at Charlie, an ominous spectacle unfolded; thunder and lightning crackled around him, as if a dragon had descended into their midst!<\/p>\n

In a state of panic, Jason shouted, \u201cDad! What the hell is that? Hurry up and shoot him! Hurry!\u201d<\/p>\n

Justin quaked in fear, feeling his legs weaken beneath him. He stammered, \u201cI\u2026 I can\u2019t move my hand. It\u2019s like Charlie has summoned thunder and lightning from the sky\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Jason, now gripped by terror, countered, \u201cNo one can summon thunder and lightning in this world! He must be pretending because he\u2019s scared we\u2019ll kill him!\u201d<\/p>\n

Charlie smirked and declared, \u201cJason, if you truly doubt that I am a god-sent dragon on Earth, then I\u2019ll show you!\u201d<\/p>\n

Turning to Justin, Charlie\u2019s voice turned icy as he said, \u201cJustin Grant, remember that your son is the reason you face your end today!\u201d<\/p>\n

With that, Charlie raised his hand towards Justin and shouted, \u201cThunder, come!\u201d<\/p>\n

A deafening boom echoed as a blinding light enveloped Justin, momentarily dazzling Jason!<\/p>\n

When the brightness faded, Justin, who had just moments ago been alive, lay lifeless on the ground, his body charred and burnt, the pistol still clutched in his hand. There was no sign of life left in him.<\/p>\n

Jason stood frozen in shock, staring at his father\u2019s lifeless form.<\/p>\n

How could this have happened? Just seconds ago, his father was right there, and now it seemed Charlie had called down thunder and lightning to strike him down!<\/p>\n

He was a living person!<\/p>\n

How could Charlie possibly wield such power over thunder and lightning?<\/p>\n

Shaking uncontrollably, Jason was overwhelmed with fear and confusion.<\/p>\n

Could it be true? Was Charlie really a dragon sent from the heavens?<\/p>\n

But their society had always rejected feudal superstitions. If people embraced science, how could a dragon exist in this world?<\/p>\n

Yet, there lay his father, reduced to nothing but a pile of charcoal before him. He had witnessed this horror firsthand!<\/p>\n

Seeing the terror etched on Jason\u2019s face, Charlie laughed mockingly. \u201cDo you believe me now, Jason?\u201d<\/p>\n

Jason\u2019s eyes widened in terror as he looked at Charlie, as if he had just seen a ghost. His legs gave way, and he fell to his knees, drenched in cold sweat.<\/p>\n

In that moment, he understood why influential figures like Don Albert, Zeke White, and Graham Quinton in Aurous Hill held Charlie in such high regard.<\/p>\n

If Charlie truly had the power to summon thunder and lightning with a mere gesture, how could anyone dare to defy him?<\/p>\n

Charlie\u2019s might was unparalleled!<\/p>\n

Jason felt a wave of despair wash over him.<\/p>\n

Desperately, he crawled toward Charlie.<\/p>\n

Finally, he knelt before Charlie, repeatedly apologizing, \u201cCharlie, Mr. Wade, please! I admit my wrongs. I\u2019m sorry for everything. I didn\u2019t touch Claire at all. Just let me go. Please spare my life\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Charlie regarded Jason with disdain before extending his hand toward him, saying, \u201cThunder, come!\u201d<\/p>\n

Lightning struck Jason\u2019s legs with terrifying force!<\/p>\n

Overcome with fear, Jason felt his legs become numb, as though he had lost all sensation. Looking down, he was horrified to see that his legs had turned to coal!<\/p>\n

Though they appeared as two charred remnants, as soon as he made contact, they crumbled to ash!<\/p>\n
