Wendy quickly followed him, eager to escape the venue. They hurried along, anxious that Charlie might decide to stop them again, but fortunately, Charlie had lost interest in further teasing.<\/p>\n

Kenneth felt utterly defeated now; he was trapped in a dark despair that seemed to promise a lifetime of misery!<\/p>\n

Once outside, Don Albert rushed over to Charlie, saying, \u201cMaster Wade, I apologize for my tardiness. It\u2019s my fault for allowing you to waste your time and energy on that worthless individual. I\u2019m ready to accept any punishment for my negligence.\u201d<\/p>\n

Charlie waved his hand dismissively and asked, \u201cWhat brings you here? Isn\u2019t this a summit for the construction and decoration industry? Are you involved in that sector as well?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIndeed!\u201d Albert chuckled. \u201cI am the largest supplier of cement and sand in Aurous Hill, which makes me a significant player in the construction industry. That\u2019s why I was invited to this summit.\u201d<\/p>\n

Charlie understood that the cement and sand business often dwelled in the gray areas of the construction sector, and it made sense that Albert, with his underworld connections, was involved. He nodded and advised, \u201cTry to steer clear of harmful and destructive practices. Don\u2019t bully honest, ordinary people.\u201d<\/p>\n

Albert grinned sheepishly, responding, \u201cYes, Master Wade. Thanks to your wise counsel, I\u2019ve cleaned up my act a long time ago. I wouldn\u2019t dare engage in those harmful activities now\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Charlie smiled in satisfaction at this response.<\/p>\n

Albert then gestured towards the four injured bodyguards and asked, \u201cMaster Wade, what should we do with these men?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAs for the one who fainted, break his leg and dispose of him. Make sure to throw them a bit farther away so they don\u2019t spoil my mood!\u201d<\/p>\n

They promptly broke the knee of the unconscious man and dragged the four incapacitated bodyguards towards the exit.<\/p>\n

Without his bodyguards, Kenneth was left to drive alone. He took Wendy to the hospital to treat the injury on her face before heading back to the Wilson family villa.<\/p>\n

Throughout the journey, Kenneth grumbled in pain, his fury simmering beneath the surface.<\/p>\n

Wendy clenched her teeth in indignation, exclaiming, \u201cDarling! That loser Charlie actually dared to lay a hand on you! The audacity! You can\u2019t let him get away with this!\u201d<\/p>\n

A dark scorn settled on Kenneth\u2019s features. His eyes glinted with rage as he growled, \u201cAbsolutely! I\u2019ll kill him! I\u2019ll skin him alive and shatter every single bone! No one has ever dared to treat me this way!\u201d<\/p>\n

Wendy grinned maliciously, her hatred for Charlie reaching new heights. She was certain that Charlie wouldn\u2019t last long once Kenneth set his sights on him.<\/p>\n

With a chilling tone, Wendy urged, \u201cDarling, take me along when you confront him. I want to see him suffer and beg for mercy!\u201d<\/p>\n

Kenneth slammed his fist against the back of the seat, shouting, \u201cI\u2019ll turn that bastard into dust!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s fantastic!\u201d<\/p>\n

Wendy was confident that with Kenneth\u2019s resources and connections, eliminating Charlie would be a simple task.<\/p>\n

They were simply at a disadvantage today due to a lack of manpower. Would Charlie survive if Kenneth brought along dozens of men next time?<\/p>\n

By then, Charlie would be as good as dead!<\/p>\n

As her mind raced with vengeful thoughts, she felt a thrilling sense of revenge building inside her!<\/p>\n

She leaned closer to Kenneth and said sweetly, \u201cDarling, since that loser will surely meet his end at your hands soon enough, try not to be too angry right now. It\u2019s not good for your health.\u201d<\/p>\n

She then played with his hair and whispered, \u201cOnce we get home, I\u2019ll make sure you\u2019re happy\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
