Johnson was dumbfounded and blurted out, \u201cA billion dollars could buy an entire hospital\u2026\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Then, turning quickly to Hank, he asked, \u201cMr. Hank, what kind of treatment was so expensive? Was it some groundbreaking new equipment? A revolutionary targeted drug?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Hank raised an eyebrow. \u201cYou\u2019re asking me? Who am I supposed to ask?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Johnson pressed further. \u201cTry to recall\u2014what kind of treatment did you receive in China? What was the environment like? Did they take you to a high-tech treatment room, maybe something like our CT or radiotherapy rooms?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Hank shook his head. \u201cNo, the treatment took place in a private hotel room.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cA hotel room?!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Johnson was in disbelief. \u201cThat\u2019s impossible! Medical treatments require strict environmental conditions. How could they possibly conduct one in a hotel room?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Hank shrugged. \u201cI wouldn\u2019t believe it either if I hadn\u2019t been there. But it was in a hotel room.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Johnson pressed on. \u201cIf that\u2019s true, then there couldn\u2019t have been any advanced medical equipment. Did they at least give you some special medication?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cNo.\u201d Hank said flatly. \u201cNo oral medicine, no medical devices. They just talked to me\u2014complete nonsense, really. Then they told me I was fine, so I left and came back.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Johnson was stunned. \u201cThis\u2026 this has to be a joke. You returned without receiving any actual treatment?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Hank smirked. \u201cWell, my cancer\u2019s gone, isn\u2019t it? The tumor vanished. So clearly, they treated me. The method was just too advanced for me to understand\u2026 and for you to understand, too.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Johnson murmured, \u201cBut this defies basic logic. If they completely eradicated your cancer cells, there must have been some direct intervention. Yet, according to you, they didn\u2019t do anything.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Hank replied, \u201cMaybe it\u2019s the metaphysics of the East. Don\u2019t we have similar beliefs in the West? Toss a cross into water, and it becomes holy water capable of exorcising demons. We usually dismiss these as folklore, but if we ever encountered a real demon, maybe it would actually work.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Johnson hesitated. \u201cBut those are just legends, stories, and fictional portrayals. When it comes to medicine, we have to trust science\u2026\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Hank waved him off. \u201cFine, go ahead and believe in your science. I\u2019ve been exhausted these past two days\u2014I need rest. Just make sure I get the CA199 results as soon as they come in.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Johnson understood he was being dismissed, but he was reluctant to leave without getting more answers. Quickly, he said, \u201cMr. Hank, would you mind introducing me to the doctor who treated you? If possible, I\u2019d like to meet him and see for myself.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Hank smirked and thought, If I introduce you to charlie Wade, who knows how he\u2019ll deal with me? Besides, you\u2019re not going to get anything out of him anyway.<\/span><\/p>\n

With that in mind, he waved his hand dismissively. \u201cDon\u2019t bother asking. He\u2019s a reclusive master\u2014he won\u2019t meet you.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Then, he shot a glance at his personal doctor.<\/span><\/p>\n

Catching the cue, the doctor immediately stepped forward and said, \u201cDr. Johnson, Mr. Hank needs rest. Please step out for now.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
