Night Carved Paths Into Silence by Zyrel Ash 134
Madeleine didn’t have much experience with kissing. Her
repetitive rubbing was no different from playing house in
Roderick’s eyes.
He went from initial astonishment to secret delight, and then
from delight to finding it a little amusing.
Feeling Madeleine’s tense body, he reached out one hand to
slowly stroke her back, then parted his lips slightly to welcome
her.
But then she stopped, pulled back, and panted in small gasps.
“That’s enough, right?”
Enough?
Of course not.
Roderick didn’t answer. The hand on her back moved up to cup
the back of her head as he closed in, his breath hot.
“You think you can just tease me and run?
Chapter 134
Madeleine, you’ve picked up some bad habits.”
Before he even finished speaking, Roderick lifted her onto the
table, giving himself more room to hold and kiss her.
Her breath was stolen away, and Madeleine’s body gradually
softened, feeling weightless, as if she were floating on water.
She started to slide off the table, only to be pressed back down.
Her waist, limber from dancing, bent easily, her entire back flat
against the table as Roderick leaned over her.
Roderick’s kisses rained down on her, like a storm battering
flower petals, moving from her lips, to her jaw, and down to her
fair neck.
“Maddie… Maddie…”
His voice was rough, unconsciously murmuring her name.
Madeleine was aroused too, trembling slightly as she felt the
strange changes in her body, her eyes growing hazy.
When Roderick lifted his head, she propped herself up without
warning and gently bit his Adam’s apple.
Roderick froze.
Chapter 134
That had been her favorite move when they were intimate.
“Maddie…”
The air instantly caught fire, and the restraint in Roderick’s eyes
began to shatter.
His breathing grew heavier. He leaned down, his Adam’s apple
grazing her collarbone as it moved, sending a shiver through
her.
“If we keep going… I really won’t be able to stop.”
Madeleine noticed the tips of his ears were bright red, and she
couldn’t help but smile. “Then don’t stop.”
Roderick’s eyes reddened. He propped himself on an elbow
beside her head, staring down at her.
“Are you doing this on purpose?”
Madeleine smiled, hooking her arm around Roderick’s neck.
“Yeah, I did it on purpose.”
She deliberately rubbed her nose against his, teasing him.
Seeing Roderick looking like he was about to explode from
Chapter 134
holding back, Madeleine felt a thrill of satisfaction.
They had gotten a call from Owen at noon, asking them to
come over for dinner tonight.
Owen had just found out about what happened with Nanette,
and he chewed Roderick out over the phone, demanding to
know why he hadn’t been told.
Now that everything was settled, his anger had cooled down
quite a bit.
Grateful for all the help from Rebecca and Bradley, he was
hosting them at the family estate to show his appreciation.
Thanking them was one thing, but Owen probably also wanted
to use the chance to mend his relationship with Roderick so he
wouldn’t be so lonely.
The sky had already darkened, and Madeleine, knowing they
had to leave soon, was teasing him on purpose,
She chuckled and patted Roderick’s shoulder.
“Alright, get up. We need to get ready to go.”
“Madeleine.”
Chapter 134
Roderick practically squeezed her name out through his teeth,
his eyes darkening as his breathing quickened.
Now, more than before, he was like a volcano on the verge of
erupting.
“You… what are you doing? We have to leave soon, don’t you
dare… Mmph.”
Before she could finish, Roderick quickly silenced her.
Gone was the earlier gentleness; now, Roderick was full of
dominance and aggression.
His grip on Madeleine was firm, holding her so she couldn’t
escape, but not so tight as to hurt her.
Madeleine, unable to speak, could only whimper for him to stop.
Stop?
There was no stopping it now.
Roderick’s reason had already been scattered by the force of
his desire.
The desk was too hard; he didn’t dare press her down
completely and risk hurting her.
Chapter 134
So he scooped her up over his shoulder with one arm, and with
the other, he pressed a button on the desk, locking the door and
drawing the curtains.
The room instantly darkened. Roderick gently placed her on the
large sofa, and Madeleine let out a small cry.
“Roderick…”
“Good girl.”
He knelt on the sofa with one long leg, his large frame moving
forward to loom over Madeleine.
He gave her a reassuring kiss on the lips, then got up and
turned on a spotlight.
The warm, intimate light was just enough for him to clearly see
the panic in Madeleine’s expression.
Madeleine was truly panicking now.
Her mind went blank, too chaotic to think.
Madeleine knew exactly how to handle Ricki.
Growing up, even though Roderick was mischievous and
caused trouble, Madeleine rarely lost out.
