Adriana turned to Ronan. “Mr. Fowler, please end Ainsworth Group’s cooperation with the Hamiltons.”
Ronan walked over, smiling as he nodded. “Of course. If Ms. Barton says so, I’ll make it happen.”
Lance looked at Adriana in terror. “How is that possible… Mr. Fowler… she—she’s just an orphan. Even if she’s now the Barton Group heir, you don’t have to be afraid of her… Curtis is dead!”

Matthew’s face went pale. He knew that was a wound between him and Adriana that would never heal.
He opened his mouth, but it took a long time for him to speak. “Everyone, Adriana and I used to date. She never took anything from me–not even tuition money. She worked part–time to pay for school and even used her scholarship to help students in need. She’s an excellent, hardworking woman.”
