The Alpha’s Golden Cage Novel Chapter 27

The Alchemist of Broken Dreams by Sienna Rose Blackwell 27

DYLAN

My heart was still racing despite the kiss ending minutes ago. I can still feel his soft lips brushing against mine. I can’t believe I did that reckless action in front of my ex–husband and his first love.

It hadn’t been a few minutes since we left the premises of my old marital house when Hunter suddenly grabbed me and pulled me up to lap. He quickly snaked his arm around me to lock me up in that position.

“Hey! Somebody’s in here!” I hissed, my eyes widening in panic as I tried to look over my shoulder in fear that the driver of the car was watching us.

“He wouldn’t dare so much as glance this way–unless he’s in a hurry to lose his head,” he said coolly. He then gently pulled my nape for another kiss when I quickly placed my finger over his lips, stopping him from doing so.

“What do you think you’re doing?” I asked, raising my eyebrow.

He smirked, mischief dancing in his eyes. “Continuing what you started,” he said in a low, teasing drawl.

I squinted at him in warning. “No. That was just to calm the situation down, not an invitation for anything else.”

He tilted his head, eyebrows lifting with an amused glint. “Is that so?” he murmured, his voice dropping to a husky whisper.

Before I could back away, he tightened his grip on my waist, drawing me closer until I could feel the hard evidence of his desire pressing firmly against me. I gasped, my breath catching in my throat.

His lips brushed against my ear, his words sending a shiver down my spine. “Then maybe you can help calm this down too?” he said, his voice rich with wicked heat.

My heart raced wildly in my chest as I struggled to keep my composure. I should pull away–I knew I should -but the way his eyes locked onto mine made my legs feel weak and my resistance start to crack.

My breath hitched as his lips grazed the edge of my ear, the heat of his body wrapping around me like a storm I couldn’t run from. My fingers gripped the fabric of his shirt, more for balance than anything else, because right then, the world seemed to tilt.

“Hunter…” I tried again, my voice trembling between warning and something else I didn’t want to admit.

“You’re giving me a slow death whenever you moan my name,” he murmured, his lips now brushing against my jaw. “I can’t wait to hear you scream my name as soon as I fck you.”

I closed my eyes for a beat, trying to will my pulse to slow, trying to remember why I needed to stop this. But he was so close, so warm, and the scent of him was fogging up my every thought,

My hands, traitorous as they were, slid up his chest. “YW–we shouldn’t be doing this,” I whispered.

He chuckled low, his chest vibrating beneath my palms. “And yet we are here.”

Chapter 27

My throat went dry as soon as I felt his callous hand brushing against my thigh. He deliberately opened his thighs widely, causing mine to do the same as I was straddling him. My breathing becomes heavy with too much anticipation as I patiently wait for his
