She got the divorce and bolted 59
In less than ten minutes, Clayton arrived at the bar.
The moment he stepped inside, he saw Sienna slumped limply over the bar counter. Her long hair was a mess, and her cheeks were flushed. In one hand, she was still clutching half a glass of alcohol. She was clearly drunk out of her mind.
Samuel lounged nearby, scrolling on his phone. When he saw Clayton, he raised a brow with a grin.
“Wow, that was fast,” he said.
Clayton walked over with a frigid expression. “How much did she drink?”
Samuel shrugged. “No idea. She was already like this when I got here. If I hadn’t kept an eye on her for you, some random guy would’ve dragged her away by now.”
Clayton didn’t bother arguing. “I’ll consider that project proposed by the Steltons.”
Samuel got up and made to leave. “Deal. Bye now.”
Clayton pinched Sienna’s cheek. “Get up.”
“Don’t touch me. I’m dizzy,” Sienna mumbled, swatting his hand away.
Clayton sighed. He was about to hoist her up and leave when he noticed her phone light up on the bar counter.
Ethan: “Clayton isn’t right for you. Leaving sooner is better. If you’re having trouble with the divorce, you can come to me.”
As Clayton stared at the screen, he felt a vein pop at his temple. What kind of brother–in–law was Ethan to encourage them to get a divorce instead of helping them reconcile?
Without hesitation, he keyed in his birthday to unlock her phone. Then he deleted the message and scooped Sienna up bridal-
style.
Sienna was so dizzy that she thrashed wildly in his arms. “Who are you? Put me down!”
Clayton answered without thinking, “Your husband.”
Sienna squinted at him and reached up to pinch his cheek. “Liar! My husband’s been dead for ages!”
Clayton was rendered speechless. This was just great. Even when she was absolutely wasted, she didn’t forget to curse him. After much effort, he finally shoved her into the back seat. Sienna immediately started wriggling and trying to crawl out.
She slurred, “Tightwad! You’re so stingy! You’re a scrooge!”
Clayton pinned her down and barked, “Sit still!”
She only grew angrier when she was yelled at. “Who do you think you are, yelling at me? I’ll drive an excavator over and flatten your house!”
Clayton laughed in spite of himself. “You? You can’t even drive a car, and you want to operate an excavator?”
He gave up reasoning with a drunk and slammed the car door shut.
Throughout the entire drive home, Sienna’s tirade never stopped. She called him an iceberg, a narcissist, a cheapskate, a bastard… Her vocabulary was so rich that there were enough names to compile an encyclopedia of insults.
Clayton’s grip on the steering wheel tightened as he silently chanted to himself, “Don’t argue with a drunk… Don’t argue with a drunk…”
But Sienna only got more animated. In the end, she even leaned forward from the back seat to grab the headrest of the driver’s seat.

She shouted into his ear, announcing loudly, “Clayton, I hereby declare that you’re fired! From now on, you’re no longer my husband! I’m going to find… find…”
She stalled for a second before the name she was looking for came to her. “Find Xavier!”
Clayton slammed the brakes and whipped his head around. “You wouldn’t dare!”
The sudden stop sent Sienna tumbling back into the seat, but she still managed a final jab. “Just watch me!”
With that, her head lolled to the side, and she finally passed out.
Clayton stared at her limp form furiously. He knew scolding her now was pointless, so he restarted the car and drove them home.
The moment they pulled up in front of the manor, Sienna woke up again. Like a koala, she clung to the car door stubbornly. I’m not getting out! I refuse!”
Clayton stood outside the car. The moonlight shone down on him, giving his shoulders a cool silver outline.
“Then what do you want?”
Sienna stuck out her hand like a pampered princess. “Carry me.”
Clayton stared at her flushed face for three seconds before finally giving in.
He turned around and crouched down while warning sternly, “You’d better not throw up on me. If you do, I’ll kill you.” Triumphant, Sienna pounced onto his back and wrapped her arms around his neck like they were creeping vines.
