She got the divorce and bolted 54
So much for not looking down on her.
Sienna was so angry that her chest rose and fell sharply.
Gritting her teeth, she snapped, “Even if the outside world is as brutal as it wants, it’s my choice to be there! What’s wrong with wanting to earn some money with my own abilities? I’d willingly put up with it even if I don’t make a lot per month and have to sleep on the streets!”
“With your own abilities?” Clayton looked down at her from above, a somewhat condescending look in his eyes. “Without the Hale or Winger family, do you really think you can land a good job?”
“Just you wait!” Sienna spun around angrily and strode off.
Having witnessed the entire argument between them, Rowan offered a word of advice. “Mr. Hale, Mrs. Hale just wants to prove she’s not useless. If you’d said something nicer, she would’ve let it pass.”
Clayton stared coldly at Sienna’s retreating figure. “She’s just had it too easy for too long. Once she’s had a taste of hardship,
she’ll come back.”
He instructed Rowan, “Go check which company she’s interviewing with today. See if it’s legitimate. Given how stupid and stubborn she is, she may be scammed without even realizing it.”
Rowan silently ranted inwardly, “If you’d just told Mrs. Hale that you were worried about her being scammed, she wouldn’t have stormed off so angrily.”
At 2:00 pm, Sienna arrived right on time and noticed that the waiting area only had half as many applicants as last time.
A young woman with her hair tied in a ponytail and dressed in a simple but professional outfit leaned over to talk to Sienna.
She whispered, “Are you nervous? I heard that out of the 20 of us, only three will be chosen.”
Sienna smiled slightly and played along. “Yeah, I’m nervous.”
If she couldn’t find a decent job, Clayton would absolutely belittle her endlessly.
The young woman introduced herself again. “I’m Zoe Watt. We met briefly last time, but you probably don’t remember me.”
Sienna took a closer look and found that she did seem vaguely familiar, so she nodded politely.
Lowering her voice like she was whispering secrets, Zoe added, “I heard the difficulty’s gone up this round. Four interviewers will take turns asking questions that test our professional skills from every aspect. Ms. Sanderson has veto power. Whether we get in or not mostly depends on her.”
As she spoke, the HR representative pushed the door open and called, “Sienna, you’re up.”
Inside the conference room, the atmosphere was solemn. Four interviewers sat behind a long table, with Neriah in the center. She was dressed in a sharp black suit that day.
The questions were indeed far trickier than last time. Sienna handled most of them smoothly, but she stumbled on a few highly specialized ones.
In the end, Neriah asked a novel question. “In spatial design, how do you think emotion should be expressed through materials and lighting?”
A hint of excitement flashed across Sienna’s eyes. She had read about this in Neriah’s book, “Emotional Expression in Spatial Design“, just yesterday. Drawing on the theories and insights from the book, she added her own view and spoke confidently and at length.

After listening to Sienna, Neriah nodded thoughtfully.
Once the interview ended, the HR representative asked her to wait outside for the final results.
As Sienna sat in the waiting area, she scrolled through her phone to pass the time. Trending topics popped up, and right at the top was “#MelodyFosterTheWhiteSwan“.
She clicked in and saw that every post was a photo of Melody in her stage makeup. Dressed in a pure white ballet costume with her makeup done flawlessly, she had been crowned online as “the most beautiful Wynter“.
The comment section was full of praise for her.
“That tearful smile in the fire scene made me cry on the spot. This is textbook–level acting. There’s hope for the entertainment industry!”
“I’ve seen three versions of ‘The White Swan.‘ A certain idol played Wynter poorly. Melody is the real swan. Even every strand of hair was acting.”
“I saw the live performance. I have no more regrets in this life. She’s breathtakingly beautiful in person, and her figure is insanely good!”
“A friend of mine works at the theater. He said a mysterious admirer rushed backstage to give her 999 white roses. Melody is just too charming.”
“We won’t get many chances to see her in theater anymore. How sad. I’m all in for ‘The Chronicle of Fallen Stars!‘ Production team, hurry up and release the character stills!”
After scrolling through most of the
