Married at First Sight Chapter 292

Chapter 292
Zachary was aware that Liberty had been searching for a job for some time, but so far she had found nothing.
This was particularly difficult for Liberty, as she was hoping to regain her previous position. This desire was the reason she had struggled to find employment until now.
However, now that she had discovered Hank’s infidelity, Liberty was likely to be less particular about her job search. Zachary believed she would soon secure a position.
“It would be simple for you to give her a job,” he suggested.
“Serenity asked me if our company was hiring a finance director, but the finance department is currently fully staffed. Moreover, hiring her sister would compromise my discretion. I didn’t assist her with that and left Liberty to find a job on her own,” he replied.

Zachary felt no remorse for not offering Liberty a position at his company.
As a boss with principles, he valued talent above all else.
Liberty had taken a three-year career break, which left her out of touch with work operations. Securing a position at York Corporation was challenging even under normal circumstances. Given that Liberty was starting anew, her qualifications would not meet the standards required by York Corporation. He had a strict no-nepotism policy, refusing to grant special favors or manipulate the hiring process for unqualified candidates. While he made numerous exceptions for Serenity in other areas of life, he was resolute in not extending the same treatment to her sister when it came to employment.
He would gladly welcome Liberty to York Corporation if she ever met all the necessary criteria.

Nonetheless, he was firm in not offering Liberty an easy way in.
Josh paused for a moment before saying, “Can’t she apply for other jobs? The position of finance director is typically found only in large corporations, and those roles are usually filled quickly.”
“She will,” Zachary replied.
He tucked the evidence back into the

He placed the envelope in his drawer, planning to deliver the file to Serenity that afternoon.

“Have you made up with your wife yet?” Josh inquired, his curiosity evident. Zachary looked at him without responding.

He wasn’t sure if the argument had been resolved, but at least they were communicating. Though he was currently staying at Brynfield, he hadn’t saved Serenity’s contact information. Perhaps she was still upset.

Zachary needed to find a way to help her move past their disagreement. While she might have seemed indifferent, he could sense a shift in her demeanor; she had been keeping her distance.

This clearly indicated that she was still angry.

What did Serenity enjoy?

She had a fondness for food. Perhaps he should bring her a bag of her favorite snacks.

Oh, and she had mentioned that their house felt too large for just the two of them, remarking on how quiet it was. She had even asked about getting dogs and cats as pets, but he had dismissed her request.

He already had pets.

However, Zachary didn’t have to care for them himself. Someone else took care of his dogs and cats, and all he had to do was ask for one to be brought to him for some playtime.

Since he was living undercover at Brynfield, he didn’t have any maids or part-time housekeepers. If they were to adopt pets, both he and Serenity would need to take care of them themselves.

Since Serenity was the one who wanted the pets, she could manage their care. Zachary decided he should make her wish come true.

With that in mind, he resolved to ask Sam to find an adorable dog and two cats.
