Married at First Sight Chapter 191

Chapter 191 After the meal, Liberty wanted to go home and rest.
She felt exhausted from job hunting all morning, and her confidence had taken a hit since she hadn’t found any opportunities.
Thus, she decided to return home to revise a few resumes while mentally preparing herself for potential interviews.
“Liberty, I’ll take you back,” Serenity offered.
Liberty glanced at her brother-in-law, Zachary, who promptly said, “I’ll head back to the office then.” “Okay,” she replied.
“Drive carefully,” Liberty instructed.
After her brother-in-law left, Liberty picked up her son, who was still asleep, and climbed into her sister’s car.
“If Zachary doesn’t have a long lunch break, you can drop him back at the office so he doesn’t have to drive. Otherwise, he won’t get to rest during his break.” “Alright,” Serenity said as she started the car.
She vowed never to return to York Corporation, but kept this thought to herself for fear of being lectured by her sister.
Serenity could see how much Liberty appreciated her brother-in-law, Zachary.
By the time the lunch break ended, Zachary returned to the office.
As soon as he exited the elevator, the secretary greeted him respectfully, “Mr. York, Mr. Bucham is waiting for you.” Zachary nodded and walked steadily toward his office.
Meanwhile, he instructed the secretary, “Please make me a coffee, black, with no sugar or milk.” He preferred his coffee strong. The secretary instinctively replied, “But you don’t drink coffee in the afternoon.” Zachary usually had a cup in the morning to keep him alert throughout the day.
If he were to have another cup in the afternoon, it would disrupt his sleep at night.
Consequently, Zachary avoided coffee in the afternoon.

Zachary entered the office without acknowledging the secretary, who wisely chose not to speak further. Once inside, he noticed Josh standing by the window, peering through a pair of binoculars. With a serious expression, Zachary approached and reclaimed the binoculars.

“Don’t touch my things,” he said.

“Someone sounds a little guilty…” Josh teased. “You left them on the table, so I just took a look.” The two returned to the table and sat down, with Zachary putting the binoculars away.

“Did your wife come by at noon?” Zachary asked.

“Josh, are you so bored that you can only gossip all day?” he replied, to which Josh chuckled.

“Working for you is quite dull. Now that you finally have something interesting happening in your life, I can’t help but gossip. Your miniature tree is larger than the one on Callum’s desk. Your wife is certainly talented at crafting such lifelike sculptures.”

Zachary replied flatly, “How can Callum compare to me? I’m Serenity’s husband, while Callum is merely her cousin-in-law.”

Josh said, “I’ll ask my secretary to place an order for me later. I’ll buy a bigger one to put on my desk and see if I can actually make a fortune!”

Zachary shot him a glance. “You’d better buy all the crafts in her store.”

“I work for you, and you pay my salary,” Josh countered. “But you want me to spend my wages at your wife’s shop? That means my salary ends up in your wife’s wallet. Zachary, can you be any more cunning?”

“Next time, I’ll dig a deep hole and bury you in it,” Zachary retorted, “that’ll show you how cunning I can be.”

Josh surrendered, saying, “Okay, okay! I won’t make fun of you.” “Is Remy gone?” Zachary inquired about the earlier business. “Yup, he left. He went back to Anni after signing the contract and having lunch. His bodyguards really never leave his side.”
