Married at First Sight Chapter 1717

Remy: “Sonny, you’re so thoughtful; your uncle thanked you for the two babies.”
Sonny beamed with happiness.
Remy set Sonny down, and Serenity took him inside the house along with Elisa and the others.
When Mrs. Stone learned that Serenity and Sonny were visiting, she was initially very pleased and greeted them at the door with a smile.
However, her smile faded when she noticed Remy was also with them.
Mrs. Stone had assumed that Remy had given up despite the challenges, but later discovered that it was the youngest mistress of the Johnson family who had given birth.
Shortly after Remy’s return to Wiltspoon, he had the audacity to visit again within two days.
“Auntie.”
“Auntie.”
Serenity and Sonny greeted her one after the other.
“Auntie,” Remy added with a smile.
Mrs. Stone shot Remy a glare before turning to Sonny. She bent down to hug him and said, “Sonny, it’s been a long time since you’ve come to play at your aunt’s house; I’ve missed you.”
Sonny replied in his childish way, “I miss you, Auntie.”
As he spoke, he blew Mrs. Stone a kiss, which delighted her.
She turned around, holding Sonny, and went back into the house, ignoring Remy.
Serenity glanced at Remy and noticed that his expression remained unchanged, still wearing his usual smile.
Zachary had once remarked that pursuing his wife felt like facing a city wall, as men understood men.
Serenity followed Mrs. Stone into the house.
Mrs. Stone quietly complained to her, “Remy is really thick-skinned.”
Serenity whispered back, “It just shows that Remy truly cares for Elisa and really likes her. For her sake, being a bit cheeky is acceptable.”
“What? If it’s because Auntie doesn’t want him—”

“He won’t come, and his feelings for Elisa are insincere; you spoke on his behalf. I disagree with all the positive things you say about him because they seem too distant.”

Serenity responded, “Auntie, Elisa is not a child; she understands this situation completely. I believe Elisa has a good sense of character, as the men she is attracted to are all quite impressive. Yes, everyone knows that Remy is a good person.”

Mrs. Stone choked but couldn’t counter her statement.

After a long pause, Mrs. Stone helplessly remarked, “How could I stop so abruptly? Mrs. Lewis is a lesson from my past. Now, I only dare to act based on emotion and logic, and I no longer have the courage to halt so suddenly.”

Mrs. Stone felt she had to seek Andrew’s assistance.

She tried her best to bring Andrew and Elisa together, but neither reached out, much to her dismay.

Andrew was indistinguishable from Remy in every way, and he was a local from Wiltspoon. If Elisa were with Andrew, she would wholeheartedly support the relationship.

Mrs. Stone viewed Andrew as a potential son-in-law, and the more she observed him, the more she appreciated him.

“Where’s your sister?” Mrs. Stone inquired about Liberty.

Serenity then informed Mrs. Stone that Mrs. Lewis had asked Liberty for help.

Mrs. Stone embraced Sonny and settled onto the sofa. After a brief silence, she sighed, “It’s fine as long as you feel you have acted with a clear conscience.”

Serenity replied, “I told my sister the same thing.”
