Married at First Sight Chapter 1716

Elisa overheard Remy talking about the elderly couple and became intrigued by the tale of the Lafayette family patriarch and his wife. However, it was a story that only the Lafayette family patriarch could share, and no one would dare to delve deeper unless he chose to reveal it.

The two headed to the villa together.

As they approached, Remy spotted Serenity waiting nearby, holding Sonny by the arm. He smiled and asked Elisa, “Are you and Mrs. York planning to discuss business again?”

“It’s quite feasible. In a few days, we may have a business trip, so we can’t solely rely on profits from Wiltspoon,” Elisa replied.

Both Elisa and Serenity were ambitious and aimed to expand their business to other cities and towns.

Remy quickly suggested, “You might consider investigating Annenburg. Many rural areas in our region are also underutilized. Young people leave for work, while the elderly stay home to care for grandchildren and grow a few vegetables. Farming is becoming less common.”

Elisa smiled and responded, “Annenburg is a bit far from Wiltspoon. Our plan is to develop neighboring cities first before gradually moving on to more distant locations.”

Remy remarked, “Let’s assess the competitiveness of the market in Annenburg.”

Elisa acknowledged that she wasn’t the only one investing in vegetable farms; there were many such farms scattered across various locations.

“Thank you in advance,” Elisa expressed her gratitude.

Remy replied with a smile, “It’s a small matter, you’re welcome. I have my own interests at heart as well.”

Remy hoped that Elisa’s business would thrive in Annenburg, paving the way for their future together as husband and wife. Even in Annenburg, he wanted her to remain engaged with her pursuits to avoid boredom.

“You might also consider investing in other ventures,” Remy suggested. “Since you’re establishing a fruit and vegetable company, you could also cultivate fruits. That would truly be fitting.”

Elisa

“Fruit cultivation yields a slower return,” she replied. The harvest was not as guaranteed as that of vegetable farming; poor weather could easily result in no harvest at all.

“I’ll consider other investments.” Since Elisa entered this field, she had no intention of limiting herself to just one project. Serenity, too, was ambitious.

Zachary occasionally complained about their relentless drive, but now that they were immersed in financial opportunities, they focused solely on developing their businesses and increasing their earnings. They were not short on money yet.

Elisa sensed that both she and Serenity thrived on that sense of accomplishment.

“Remy.” Serenity approached them and greeted Remy with a smile.

Sonny also politely called out, “Uncle Remy.”

Remy stepped forward and hugged Sonny. “Sonny, I haven’t seen you in a while. I missed you!”

Sonny looked up at Remy and replied, “Uncle, I missed you too! Where have you been lately?”

“Your uncle has been at home because I’ve become a real uncle; we welcomed two adorable babies into our family.”

Sonny, intrigued, asked, “Uncle, why didn’t you bring the two cute babies for me to see? I love cute babies!”

Remy smiled and explained, “The babies are still very young and not ready to go out yet. When they’re a bit older, I’ll bring them over to play with you. You’ll have the chance to entertain the little ones.”

Sonny nodded enthusiastically and promised, “I’ll share my toys with them!”
