“Are you?” Serenity inquired.
Camryn shook her head. “He didn’t tell me anything. He just disappeared for two days without calling. Is he on a business trip?”
“Yes,” Serenity replied. “He left Wiltspoon to handle something. He’ll be back in a few days.”
Since Callum hadn’t informed Camryn about his trip, Serenity decided to keep it from her too. She believed it would be better for Callum to tell Camryn himself, so she would feel special.
“Oh,” Camryn said, realizing why he hadn’t been around for the last two days. It turned out he was indeed away on business, just as she had suspected.
Serenity teased Camryn, “You’ve only been apart for two days, and you already miss him? Camryn, Callum is truly in love with you. His family doesn’t look down on you for being blind. When my aunt met your two aunts, she was intimidated by them.”
“Even though you’re blind, Callum’s family will appreciate you as long as he loves you. You don’t need to do much; just be yourself.”
“I understand your concerns; I felt the same way. When I tried to connect with Zack’s family, I found it wasn’t as hard as I thought. They are genuinely nice and the most open-minded elders I’ve ever met.”
It’s rare to come across such open-minded elders, unlike Serenity’s aunt, who couldn’t compare to them. Otherwise, Elisa and Remy wouldn’t have faced disapproval in their relationship.
To sabotage their bond, Mrs. Stone deceived Andrew and attempted to matchmake him with Elisa.
After a brief silence, Camryn murmured, “The issue is your background. You’re not physically impaired; you can easily navigate that. But I’m blind, and I can’t see. I don’t even know what…
He looks like now.” She had previously touched Callum’s face and envisioned his appearance. That was merely a product of her imagination. Did he truly look like how she had imagined him? She had no clue!
