Married at First Sight Chapter 1658

Chapter 1658
1/2
Serenity poured three glasses of water and offered one to her nephew. She then placed the other two glasses in front of Camryn and handed one to her.
Both Serenity and Camryn drank half of their glasses of water.
“Camryn, go ahead and ask me anything,” Serenity encouraged.
“It seems Callum has been missing for the past two days. Is he on a business trip?” Camryn inquired.
Serenity was taken aback by Camryn’s question regarding Callum’s whereabouts.
Callum was in Annenburg seeking Dr. Carden’s help to treat Camryn’s eyes, but he hadn’t informed her about it. He intended to keep this a secret until he secured Dr. Carden’s agreement, as he wanted to spare her any disappointment.
Aunt Evelyn was searching for the doctor’s apprentice to treat Camryn’s eyes, but her connections were not as strong as Callum’s, and she was unaware that Dr. Carden had returned to Annenburg.
The apprentice was Camryn’s last hope, and though she didn’t voice it, Callum understood how much she relied on this chance.
If Callum failed to obtain Dr. Carden’s commitment, it would leave Camryn heartbroken.
He chose not to inform Camryn or visit her during this time, which led her to speculate about his absence.
Camryn was so preoccupied with thoughts of Callum that she didn’t notice Serenity’s approach.
After asking Serenity, Camryn chuckled softly to herself. “He usually follows me everywhere. He can be so annoying that I often try to ignore him. But now that he’s been gone for two days, I can’t help but wonder where he is.”
Camryn didn’t dislike Callum; rather, she felt unworthy of his affection due to her visual impairment. She never wanted to be a burden to him, which is why she consistently pushed him away despite his earnest pursuit of her.
“Didn’t Callum tell…

“Are you?” Serenity inquired.

Camryn shook her head. “He didn’t tell me anything. He just disappeared for two days without calling. Is he on a business trip?”

“Yes,” Serenity replied. “He left Wiltspoon to handle something. He’ll be back in a few days.”

Since Callum hadn’t informed Camryn about his trip, Serenity decided to keep it from her too. She believed it would be better for Callum to tell Camryn himself, so she would feel special.

“Oh,” Camryn said, realizing why he hadn’t been around for the last two days. It turned out he was indeed away on business, just as she had suspected.

Serenity teased Camryn, “You’ve only been apart for two days, and you already miss him? Camryn, Callum is truly in love with you. His family doesn’t look down on you for being blind. When my aunt met your two aunts, she was intimidated by them.”

“Even though you’re blind, Callum’s family will appreciate you as long as he loves you. You don’t need to do much; just be yourself.”

“I understand your concerns; I felt the same way. When I tried to connect with Zack’s family, I found it wasn’t as hard as I thought. They are genuinely nice and the most open-minded elders I’ve ever met.”

It’s rare to come across such open-minded elders, unlike Serenity’s aunt, who couldn’t compare to them. Otherwise, Elisa and Remy wouldn’t have faced disapproval in their relationship.

To sabotage their bond, Mrs. Stone deceived Andrew and attempted to matchmake him with Elisa.

After a brief silence, Camryn murmured, “The issue is your background. You’re not physically impaired; you can easily navigate that. But I’m blind, and I can’t see. I don’t even know what…

He looks like now.” She had previously touched Callum’s face and envisioned his appearance. That was merely a product of her imagination. Did he truly look like how she had imagined him? She had no clue!
